I’ve had a significant disagreement with the Admins in this group so I will be leaving. I have no issue with ANY of my partners or anyone in the group, so feel free to message me on discord ( Parva#9652 ) or to hit me up on my indie blogs @soitos and @vanathis (links are on my tags page). I’ll leave this blog and Eli up so you guys can see my posts. I’m especially sorry to @estherzellman who will have no running mate. I really liked being a part of this group, but I feel that there is too much monitoring of my every move for me to stay.

Elizabeth nods, “That’s fine, I didn’t intend to ask you to talk about your lineage, forgive me,” she says with a broad smile, hoping that brought him some comfort; he was clearly very perturbed. She watches him curiously for a moment, “I’d advise you to, they’re fascinating beings, they have this rich history. I think I barely scratched the surface. Even being Veela myself, I’m not sure many of the elders trusted me too deeply. Which, you wouldn’t.”

He shook his head, frowning, “Excuse me, ma’am but how can you be so brazen?” He demanded, “Do you not realize what these people would do to you...” He shook his head and looked away. Veela were still valuable to some, though perhaps her position as a senator protected her. “It’s...it’s just too risky...I’ve seen what happens to our kind.”

          “It’s not too bad,” he responded. Sylas loved the work, every aspect of it, even the paperwork. “I can’t say I’ll be taking an early day anytime soon,” he said in an attempt to seem relatable. “How are you holding up?” he asked. Small talk. Something that he wasn’t good at, and often led to him feeling uncomfortable or causing the other person to feel uncomfortable.

As they stepped into the elevator together, Eli found himself wishing they could part ways already. “Of course not,” He chuckled. Neither one of them were good at this, He just flashed a smile and thought about how much her preferred the company of women. “Well good luck with it all today.”

He felt her muscles stretch nicely to accomodate everything he had to give and he experimented, spreading his fingers to see how much she could stretch. His free hand gripped her ass firmly before he went in again. He waited for her to reach a climax and stuck with her through it, still pumping his fingers into her. At the question, she nods, “Yes, a quarter, and you are too, aren’t you?” she asks as she leans in towards him, “It’s funny, Veela genes, they’re so strong, and so strange. I haven’t met another Veela since I left Bulgaria. We thrive there, it’s one of the few countries where Veelas are classified as beings.”

He felt an initial shock that she would ask him this question before realizing he’d just asked her.  He took a long sip of his drink, still wanting to leave rather than be confronted with what he was. “My mother...my real mother was Veela.” He said, finally, as though there was any way he could escape being one himself. “It’s not something I really talk about.” He said quietly. “I’ve...never met one before.”

“That’s wonderful,” she insists; she hadn’t followed her mother, though, some part of her was regretting it. She would have liked to raise some children of her own, “It’s an incredibly important, yet terrifying, profession. I can’t imagine facing some of the things Aurors must inevitably.”

“Yes, it is.” Eli said shortly. He took a big sip of his coffee, trying to summon the will to leave her and leave behind everything he was. He knew he wouldn’t, and so he waited a long moment in awkward silence before leaning forward. “You’re a veela, aren’t you, senator?” He spoke dispassionately, trying to mask his true feelings.

“Very lucky indeed.” he said with a slight nod. “I suppose working with animals on occasions, I should bring a healer with me at all times.”

“Well I’m sure you pick stuff up on the job.” Eli stood for a long moment with his hands on his hips.

“I’m very sorry for your loss,” Elizabeth says with sincerity, “The loss of a loved one is devastating, and, of course, I understand words bring little comfort,” she notes, her eyes fixed on his. She could sense his discomfort, and sits back, “Are you an Auror as well?” she inquires, “It’s an incredibly brave profession, very admirable indeed.”

Eli kept a straight face as she spoke, but inwardly felt like punching a wall. Normally he could talk about his mother without significant issue. However he had received enough of a jolt already in meeting another halfbreed veela. “Yes.” He said gruffly, “I am an auror.” He considered getting up and leaving but there was something incredible holding him there, that deep connection of kin he’d never felt before.

Task 002                                                                  Private

Eli didn’t know what he’d expected. It was always the same old story, No-majs were dangerous. No-majs couldn’t be trusted. No-majs would destroy magic. Were they really wrong? No, if he was being honest. No-majs had every ability to persecute and destroy the Wizards around the world. That was why they had to remain secret, and in America secrecy was a problem. But did wizards not have the same potential to destroy themselves? Could their fear of persecution really lead them to treating their own citizens unfairly?

For once Eli thought of the mother he’d never really known. Her tragedy was like a novel in another world, but had she not been subjected to so many horrors merely because of what she was? How many other magical beings of varying levels of sentience were treated like dark secrets by the wizards merely because of their fear of the No-majs? How long would it be before he was relegated to menial labor or killed by a well-meaning wizard.

He pushed the thoughts out of his mind like he always did and decided to go outside for a walk.

Janie Taggart

Janie Taggart was a fourth generation Auror who grew up watching her father and uncles grow up as Aurors mostly investigators. Her mother’s family hailed from Wyoming where she could trace her roots back to suffragettes (Wyoming was the first state to allow women to vote). She grew up to be an amalgamation of the two, a fiercely rebellious girl with a strong sense of justice. By her third year at Ilvermorny she wanted to be an auror and threw herself into her Defense Against the Dark Arts study. Janie had a special talent at wandless magic (taught at Ilvermorny) that was an extra boost to her CV.

When Janie adopted Eli she did not specifically want him to be an auror but was delighted when he decided to follow in her footsteps. They were incredibly close, with Janie having a unique ability to love Eli for just who he was. She was strict with his routine and built him a good scaffold for his future and imparted her talents of wandless magic to him.

Unfortunately five years ago, Janie met a match she could not fight. She had been sent to Nevada to arrest someone who had fled New York before arrest. Little did she know, this man had gotten in with the organized crime syndicate in Nevada and was killed by them. Eli had already been an auror for several years. The entire department in Nevada as well as New York worked together to take down the arm of the organization that had killed Janie. Eli took a year long sabbatical and attended none of the executions. Now, he’s managed to cope with his mother’s death and speaks of her fondly.

Elizabeth smiles as she shakes her head, “Oh, I could say the very same. Of course, it’s my line of work, but it can be so exhausting,” she notes. She nods, extending her hand towards him at his name, “Elizabeth Dunst, I’m a senator, I’m sure you have,” she confirms. Elizabeth found it rather exciting, to meet a Veela once again, particularly a male; she’s not sure she ever has before. “Taggart, that’s…a very familiar name,” she says, furrowing her brows as she smiles, “I am so terrible with names, I’m deeply sorry.”

He could practically sense her interest in him but refused to acknowledge what might be their shared heritage. “Oh, yes, Dunst.” Now he was sure, he had heard that name before. She was one of the only senators with non-human blood in her veins, a champion of inclusivity. She too was Veela, just as he’d suspected. the idea made him want to get up and run rather than be confronted with someone who might celebrate their heritage rather than try to hide it the way he did. “M-My mother was Janie Taggart, the Auror...she uh...passed away some years ago.”

Eli ate like a starving man under her encouragements. He almost preferred this to his own release, especially because of Circe specifically. There was something so hot about bringing her to helplessness like this, more magical than any spell. He considered bringing her to the edge and then stepping back, letting her squirm for him, but figured that would be something for next time. Instead he slipped a finger inside her and used his mouth to suck on her folds. He was already uncomfortably aroused, but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to reduce her to a complete puddle before looking for his own satisfaction.

           “I’ll bear that one in mind.” The woman nodded towards him. She had to make herself somewhat relatable and wasn’t going to do that with being too defensive whenever the opposition posed her a question. “Believe me, I’m sure it’s worse than Miss. America…” Esther took this very seriously and doubted the opposition really understood what they were doing; they were ignorant and it seemed the wizarding community was being reactionary. Somehow, she needed to CHANGE their perception of her but it was easier said than done.  “Lovely to meet you, Mr. Taggart.”

“Well they’re idiots,” Eli smirked, “All of ‘em,” He leaned in conspiratorially, “Trust me I work with half of them.” He didn’t move back immediately, still being more flirtatious than someone should be with someone running for an elected office. He finally rolled back onto his heels, “It’s wonderful to meet you too, Senator Zellman.” He winked. There may be others who didn’t like her, but he knew she was just doing her best. An honest woman had no business running for office these days, but he sure wished more would.

At his voice, she meets his gaze, that familiar feeling washing over her. Was he part Veela? It was a sensation she hadn’t felt in so long, though she couldn’t help but smile. At his question, she laughs, “Oh, I’m afraid it’s politics, not quite a topic for polite conversation,” she notes, her eyes flickering towards the amulet, she momentarily purses her lips before gesturing, “Please, feel free to sit, you’re more than welcome. I like to think myself satisfied in silence, but, it’s a bit of a farce.”

“Politics, huh?” He chuckled, “Well, as much as I’d like to think of myself above all that, I’m always drawn in.” He leaned forward, face splitting into a grin, “I’m Eli Taggart, I think I’ve seen you around before do you work in the MCUSA building?” He was still feeling anxious about their shared heritage. For some reason it was a sore spot with him, during school he’d been bullied of course, but his mother had had it so much worse. It was easier to be Janie Taggart’s son than Kíra Pásztor’s.

Witches Brew was scarcely populated at least at this odd hour. Elizabeth preferred it that way; the clinking of tea cups could sometimes distract her racing mind. Though, well, at the moment, she was doubtful anything could. Sat in an arm chair by the small fire, she almost doesn’t notice the other lingering nearby, so lost in her own mind was she. Adjusting in her seat, she speaks to them, “No, I’m sorry, feel free,” she asserts, “I was just lost in my own thoughts. How are you?”

“Thank you,” Eli nodded, sinking into the chair across from her. Well wasn’t this his lucky day. It wasn’t always a gorgeous woman like this was at your favorite cafe. “What were you thinking about?” He asked, innocently enough. There was something familiar about her, unnervingly attractive. He could sense a whiff of veela in her veins. Was that how everyone else felt when they met him? He tugged slightly at his amulet that masked his more intoxicating qualities.
