how does aurora react to compliments?
Weeeelll it depends greatly on the kind of compliment. If it’s on her smarts, she’ll smile and say thanks, but she will feel a bit giddy and reflect on it later because she likes it when people ask her for help and compliment her. It makes her feel pride in what knowledge she has while also feeling useless.
If it’s looks, she’ll probably feel a bit awkward at first, but smile nonetheless and say thanks. She has manners but she will feel strange because she’s not very used to people just telling her she’s pretty, or she has nice eyes etc;.
It’s more on what kind of compliment and how they say it, I guess.
He wasn’t even sure if it was worth bothering to ask her to call him Emrys. He just stood up and dusted dirt off his knees.

Aurora is a loner, despite the fat her siblings are, for the most part, popular. It's mostly because Aurora can be quite stand-offish and she can connect easily once she gets to know people. THe only things is that she normally doesn't even bother because she's been freidnships fall apart aroud her. Why even bother?
Despite alll that, she doesn't quite like the feeling of being a loner. It's lonely. She can drag people off with her, but that's only for a day or two. She sota just wants a friend.

Aurora's mum grew up in the USA. She grew up in South Florida and would take the Rain from Miami to Boston, where the Students were put on a bus and taken to the Salem Institute of Witches and Wizards. Instead of Hogsmeade, they went to Boston on weekends.
However, wen she was fifteen and after she finished the O.W.L equivalent, she got transferred to Hogwarts since her parents moved to London.
