“if you’re going about it that way, then it’s not about the length of time you have in the object it’s about the thought. i’m not mated but i’m assuming flower crowns probably have a deeper meaning, like the type of flowers they use for it or whatever they use to hold them together.” she retorted with a light shrug, giving him a side eye over. he gave her the vibes of someone who was either having a bad time or just wanted to argue, like the old folks in movies.
“but in all honesty i have no clue, nothing i say is one hundred percent the truth and on top of that if you’re so curious and have so many opinions why not just join the party council or whoever comes up with this whole thing. then you can decide. although, regardless of what any of us say the only people who will be pleased at the end of the day are the ones getting mated right?”

“But in that same regard, wouldn’t you want something that symbolizes your long-lasting love to have a lengthier lifespan than that of something that wilts and eventually dies?” they countered, only to lift their shoulder in a shrug. Truthfully, they weren’t that curious, merely commenting on the very outdated tradition and how they, indeed, needed to change to keep updated with the ever-growing world. Much like their own parents, but that was a different discussion entirely.

Would you care if someone were to give you a flower crown despite it being temporary?”
