dynastiiq:
“Who?” A huff, a tight smile. Araminta feigns ignorance, though it’s obvious that she hasn’t forgotten the matter at all. Still, she didn’t quite want to lose it that night and make the headlines the next morning, so she’s made sure to at least have some eyes on her daughter, even if they weren’t going to be hers. She makes it a point to look around everywhere but the general direction of where Ana had been standing before she looks up at her husband. “I want to focus on us tonight.” She reaches out to hold Ezra’s hand, pulls him closer. “Just us. All night, my love.”
“ what are you up to?” ezra’s voice lowers, giving his wife an incredulous look. sure, araminta is enraged with their daughter, but it’s unbecoming on her to let this go that easily, especially since ana’s actions are putting their ‘good’ name at risk. nothing as important to the elegant witch than keeping up appearances. “ don’t do anything reckless, minnie. in fact, you are not to do anything without consulting me first, understood?” he tells her firmly, eyes narrowing at the small witch. “ all night...? not before you promise me you’ll be good,” the warlock growls, leaning into her ear. even though he’s equally disgusted with his daughter’s choice of partner, he’s not about to act on an impulse and turn a bad situation into an even worse one. “ no surprises, love. swear it to me.”
