BIO Â - (PARENTAL DEATH TW)
The world around her seemed to always be straight out of a fairytale, her imagination and the ability to be creative in her thoughts. The sky was the limit, as a child she was full of life. She saw the world through eyes of innocence, to naturally care, and help others. The child that came a long time after the first born. A bond that formed between the first and the last. The beauty of her lineage, the line of her family, Danuli. Â Born to parents who were Witches, their species was the very kind that was written in books. Truly she believed that love was real, and didnât come to fully understand what gift she had. Her parents waited to tell her when she was older. When they eventually told her, she wondered growing up if magic would be the issue. you see, she would have dreams of her past life. it almost seemed like a mystery to her, bits and pieces she could not remember. but she dreamt of someone, (she does not realize itâs Nicholas Croft, original vampire)
So she studied, read books, looked into the family line, family name. Her family made it clear that she was special, and wanted her to join the Lux coven.  The very thought of what her powers could do, scared her. But she stayed positive, she had her familyâs support. Family is all that mattered. untilâŠ..itâs broken.
It wasnât until the death of her parents, that had everything she believed in come crashing down. Her sister had left long before, and it was a time in which Avery needed her most. After all they were always together? not once separated, but she left, and for that reason, she harbored resentment. Life came crashing down, and she just wanted her sister. The death of her parents greatly affected her, and she hasnât quite gotten over it, nor coped well with it. It affected her powers even, that was difficult to maintain. When her sister had come back, Avery was not the same person, constantly on edge, looking for definition, for someone to hear her, for someone to comfort. Maybe that had been too much to ask for, and it resulted in pieces, pieces that her sister had tried to mend. but could it?
She had been taken care of by her grandparents, eventually going to college and school to become a nurse. Avery had joined the coven to grow into her powers.
PERSONALITY
Avery is quiet, reserved, and very intuitive. She still sees the world through innocent eyes, not quite sure if everything is as bad as it seems. Even with the loss of her parents, she struggles between acceptance and holding on to the grief. She is a woman of peace, understanding, she is much like the calm after the storm. She is afraid to lose the last piece of herself, and isnât sure if she will get through this. Though she has the support of her sister, she still longs for the bond they once had. a friendship. friendly to those she meets, her body language speaks louder than her words. At times she can be a bit of an enigma, her mind solely focusing on her studies, but creates whatever she can put to her imagination. Often times she speaks as she is in a daze but that doesnât mean she isnât listening. She can be your best friend, the one who is there for you during your darkest hour. She knows pain, suffering, and understands it. However, once you break her trust, deceive her, or even come after her sister, you will see a different side of her. One that is the exact opposite of a calm girl, as they say the quiet ones are the ones to look out for.
CONNECTIONS
Friends to lovers - tho prepare for angst, because sheâs not that easy to fall.
enemies to friends, possibly more? - the kind that annoys the other, but builds on the dislike?
You understand me - a connection that is unspoken, and simply on a level that can grow into love. platonic or romantic.
take care - Â - someone who helps her come out of her shell, makes her smile.
what a surprise rocky got in the morning when she went to take a shower and suddenly everything burned all over, hopping out immediately but it wasnât where it ended. even in the tap water she packed in her water bottle for throughout the day burned her throat, unscrewing the lid and pouring the rest out to the patch of grass outside. sitting down, clearing her throat to get the afterburn from her mouth⊠what even was that? why did it burn? âtrade you five bucks for a coke.âÂ
`
THE RUDE awakening of finding the water supply laced with vervain was unexpected. he had checked in on his siblings the minute news of the water spread around. he had been drinking bottles of water, followed by anything sealed or packed. carrying an extra drink or two, a habit he formed in the presence of his siblings. Jaesun had finished grabbing a drink from the vending machine nearby, his attention was brought to the reaction of another tossing water in the grass. he could only observe that it wasnât just vampires? âno need for the money.â he waved his hand, offering the other a drink. âI got two for the price of one.â he states with a smile. âfive bucks hmm?â
The last few days had been interesting, to say the least. There had been some whispers about a new issue that, perhaps currently unknown to most of the residents, was something that was affecting the whole town one way or another. Julian had been experiencing it at his own house, wolfsbane apparently tainting his running water. Sighing to himself, he took a seat at the bar counter at the Red Diamond and mustered a smile to the bartender, though it was clear he was a little zoned out. âIâll just take a beer, thank you,â Julian said, glancing over at the stage where someone was singing.
`
WELL THAT WAS something, finding out the water supply was laced with vervain. really ticked her off, considering it was unexpected. already off on a not so pleasant morning, it followed to the afternoon. the stench of werewolves at the bar. her attention towards the next customer, only to see the familiar face. since he did not specify what kind he wanted, she grabbed one from the cooler. popped it open, placed it on the counter. âcome to drown in your thoughts?â
âwell, I donât know about the sad soul you just scared off, but I know for a fact Iâm not a tour guide. so no, I canât.â would fallon admit she had no idea where the library was? absolutely not. she would never show weakness of any kind. tilting her head ever so lightly, her eyes narrowed. âwho are you?â
`
TILTING her head slightly she smiles. not at all offended that she was questioned. âThat is the question, isnât it?.â she keeps her gaze on the other. âwhen the mind is curious.â and she could dance around that subject, but she was not one of many faces. âEzel Somsi.â she had forgotten she had initially returned from the store. looking into her grocery bag , taking out a small bottle of beer. âand you are?â
In the weeks since moving here, Charlie had slowly gotten settled into a little apartment sheâd gotten with her best friend, Alex. And once settled, she decided that instead of just pickpocketing and using her magic to confuse unaware inhabitants, sheâd actually get a job insteadâand given that baking was the one thing she actually knew she was good at, Charlie ended up getting a job at the bakery in town, which is where she currently was (still counting down the hours until she got to go home though).
She was putting trays of muffins and smaller pastries into the display case when someone walked in and she glanced over. âYou need help picking something or do you know what you want?â
@ashwickstartersâ
`
PASTRIES, now, jaesun wasnât particular on sweet food, but he knew his siblings didnât really care. perhaps heâd grab one for Madison. glancing down at his phone as he looks up as he hears the other speak. âdo you happen to have a variety of either banana, blueberry or strawberry filling cupcakes?â
âJust having a bit of fun, chill out,â Leighton murmured in return with a glance over their shoulder, sending a smirk toward the other. âExcuse me,â the vampire hummed, eyeing the guy who had been the one to write on her cup. He blinked in surprise, waddling over and asking what she needed. âHi. Yes, get a pen.â It wasnât a request, and the guyâs mouth ran dry but he grabbed a pen, and Leighton gave a simple smile. âSomething to write on.â His heart beat was through the roof but he did as he was told.
âNow write down the letters I say,â Leighton explained. âL-e-i-g-h-t-o-n.â The scratching of the pen came quickly, the flustered employee showing her the writing. âImmaculate job. Now,â the blonde paused, placing their coffee cup on the counter and then spinning it around so that Laiten could be seen. âLetâs play a game of spot the difference.â
`
FUN âyou chill.â since Leighton was the one making a big deal over a name. it provided entertainment nonetheless, Ezel has killed people for far less. as she observed the scene, it was the reaction of the human that made it funny, or perhaps it was Leighton. taking another sip of her iced coffee, it was fun, leave it to the blonde to make some drama.
resting her hand on her check as she leaned on the table to get a better view. âletâs see if heâs smart, or will respond to you with a blank stare.â she stated with a chuckle, not speaking to anyone, again, she knew the blonde could hear her.
âtell me. are you always this delightful to strangers?â fallon spoke in a rather nonchalant tone, though her curiosity had been mildly peaked. she had watched the interaction between the younger vampire and the poor soul who approached with a very ridiculous question. honestly, the girl looked nothing like a tour guide to be giving out directions like that. so as she other scurried off, fallon approached, lips twisted into a hint of a smirk, hands linked behind her back.
`
NOW THERE WAS A PRETTY face â as delighted as I come.â she states with a small smile, did it reach her eyes? hmm, would be up to the other. ezel spoke often times in a blunt manner, so no, she had no excuse for her actions. simply acted. it was no stranger that had approached her, the originals were known, or act least, ezel has heard of them. âperhaps you can point me in the direction of the local library.â she states with a smile, tone indicating she wasnât being serious, though, it would give the other perspective in being mistaken as a tour guide.Â
âMore like a heckler,â the sire responded to the notion of the other merely being a simple audience member. Though Leighton smirked, her gaze glancing up and down Ezel. âThough nonetheless a pretty one.â Of course, that smirk was slapped off their face upon seeing the nicely and correctly spelled name on Ezelâs cup. Tongue running across her teeth, Leigh just rolled her eyes. âOh, I can, hm? Thank you for the permission, Ezel, I definitely needed it.â The sarcasm slipped out but the vampire did spin around on her heel, waltzing back up to the counter.
`
KEEPING HER focus on leighton, the look didnât go unnoticed. though she didnât waste her anger on the small things, which is why she didnât understand leighton making a big deal of this. has her maker gone softer in age? âoh of course, you are most welcome.â she stated right back with a smile, sarcasm laced in her words as well. taking another sip of her coffee before standing up, she watched as the blonde vampire waltz over to the counter. boy was that person going to get an earful. âkeep the claws at bay.â she stated in a low voice, knowing well vampire hearing could pick up.
The laugh did not go unheard and Leighton huffed at the remark that filled the air. Karma? Oh, ho, ho⊠if Ezel only knew. âIâm not entirely sure what part of my expression seemed like an invitation for your attempted comedy,â Leighton countered with a scoff, raising an eyebrow over at their sireling before beckoning toward the otherâs own coffee. âAnd how was your name spelled then?â they questioned. âDoes it look like a child attempting to spell gazelle?â She smirked like she was really hoping that there was something worse than Laiten.
`
OH, she got jokes now. âattempted comedy? you were practically displaying the show, Iâm simply the audience.â now that was a sight to see, leighton upset over her name misspelled. smiling again at her words. âIâm a regular here.â she showed leighton that the barista spelled her name right, e z e l. âwould it make you feel better hm?â again, she was teasing, but she then grew serious. âitâs not the worse Iâve seen, and no, nothing like child at all.â taking a sip of her coffee âyou can correct them.â she pointed to the barista.Â
Rosa had seen Ezel quite a bit around town, she spoke to her when she wasnât too busy.
âLooks like youâre our town guide now.â She joked with a smile.
âIâm gonna go get a snack, wanna come with?â The elder vampire asked.
`
UGH, âplease donât say that.â she didnât care to be showing anyone any part of town. Unless it was to feed off the humans to quench the thirst every now and then. Raising a brow as she looked over at Rosa. âwhat is your definition of snack hmm?â she stated with a small smirk. though sheâd be fine it was like snack related.
well. that sure sounded like a demand. or annoyance. one or the other. but nonetheless, she gulped heavily, a lost deer in highlights. a need to impress was at the core of her personality â or did she just like being bossed around? she was already ninety nine percent sure she was getting a cupcake but now that turned into a big hundred. âyes maâam,â solara replied with an affirmative nod, even going as far to do a salute. god i look like such a loser, she thought as she entered the bakery. it took a game of eenie meenie for her to decide, and she returned outside with a half-eaten cupcake and frosting on her upper lip. âmaple bacon. itâs frigginâ weird. but i love weird,â she mumbled in-between nibbles.
`
RAISING a brow at the interaction and at the response. Ezel wasnât even sure what just happened, other than she was at the wrong place, wrong time. Well, that was certainly something she hadnât encountered in a while. someone out of the ordinary. it was entertaining, considering it seemed the other was ----peculiar. hmmm. why did ezel bother to look back, she didnât know. but seeing the other look happy? over cupcakes was beyond her. Staring as the other stepped out of the bakery, watching her eat a cupcake, this was not her life right now. nope, with the sudden urge to feed, rising in her. she had to go. âhuh, you enjoy that.â ezel states before continuing on in the direction she was originally heading.Â
â⊠uh.â solara blinked rhythmically against thickened air, unsure what to say momentarily. beautiful women with attitude terrified her in the best and worst of ways. âright geesh iâm so⊠so sorry about that, you think i would know where the dang place is âcoz iâve been there like, a gazillion and one times, but ââŠâ her eyes scanned the delicious goods through the window of a bakery. âthough now i dunno if iâm going there anymore âcoz i really, really, really, really, really want a cupcake right nowâŠâ
`
WHY has this become her life? she honestly was walking down the street and here goes, another lost soul. one she could easily chew up, but sheâd bite her tongue. she was about to say something, when the focus of the otherâs attention was on the bakery goods. âi see.â she tightens her jaw, letting out a sigh, before looking over her shoulder. âthen get one. â ezel really really wanted to sink her teeth into someone, but she held back.
EZEL had finished up her shift and was craving something sweet blood, candy was an okay substitute. though the more people, humans interacted with her and outside of her workplace. it was an annoyance. someone had asked her for direction, to which her response âthere is a map, and directory over there.â she pointed âotherwise the store is there.â
