i do get that it happens because the characters who struggle with these are generally just unpleasant to be around but it TRULY kills me that these games are constantly playing gambling and alcohol addiction for a laugh like. sorry. it’s actually not very funny! it’s real and it’s cyclical and it’s intimately related to social issues more broadly both in DA and irl!!!!!

inquisition rightly takes cullen’s struggle with lyrium addiction seriously, but anything else? don’t worry about it man. those guys just suck.

Once again inspired by the beautiful Accursed Ones in the concept stages, as Merrill is the one to gift a cat to Anders and it’s absolutely precious. Then I considered my Warden Stellan gifting the cat. Which quickly reminded me of the line where Anders references having to bring Ser Pounce A Lot to the deep roads. So! This is them in their downtime in the deep roads together.

Now you might be curious about the how this is safety, but to me they’ve carved a small moment of safety out in the depths of evil. Also I will fight you, to me Awakening is the best example of found family in the dragon age series. They do love each other to ME.
