"Actually i’m medical. I’ve got lupus, so basically my immune system hates me."
“That’s funny I don’t actually remember asking for your life story.” She sighed before continuing. “But I have to admit that sounds pretty awful.”

"Actually i’m medical. I’ve got lupus, so basically my immune system hates me."
“That’s funny I don’t actually remember asking for your life story.” She sighed before continuing. “But I have to admit that sounds pretty awful.”
‘Race you into the water!
Nobody’s making you do anything… I was just pointing out that that’s how swimming starts. If you want to learn to swim, the first step is literally to get into the pool.
“Fine.” Kay sighed for a moment before removing her shoes and socks and sitting on the edge of the pool. Gently she lowered her feet into the water. She sat for a moment before pulling them out quickly and standing up again. “There I went in the pool!”
"I guess I’ll have to give you a name myself then, how about Psycho?"
Kay glared at him angrily “I’m not a...You know what, why am I wasting my breath with you. Clearly you have narcissistic personality disorder.”
‘Race you into the water!
That’s alright, we all have to start somewhere. Learning to swim usually starts with getting in the water.
Kay stepped back and looked at the water in the pool. “No...I’m not going to get in the water and you can’t make me!”
Amber shrugged. “I dunno. Maybe. I’m all over the place so I don’t notice if I kick something unless it hurts. Like hitting my toes on the corner of my bed. That makes me cry,” she said. “Could be under some clothes or something. I was looking for a short this morning and didn’t put my clothes back in to my drawer.”
“Well then you should start there, I’ll look under my bed to make sure it hasn’t been kicked under there okay?” Kay looked at the girl smiling, waiting for her to respond.
"Maybe, maybe not." He flashed a devilish smirk. "Do you have a name?"
Kay rolled her eyes and used his words against him, “Maybe, maybe not.”
Amber shook her head. “I wasn’t accusing you of stealing it, I just wanted to know if you seen it around the room anywhere and moved it. You can’t really steal something from your roommate unless you take it with you when you change rooms,” she said. “Yeah, that’s the first place I looked. It has to be there somewhere though cause I didn’t take it out of the room and if you didn’t then it’s still in there.”
Kay smiled. “Okay maybe I could help you look. To be honest I actually liked that night light. Are you sure you didn’t accidentally kick it somewhere whilst you were walking around?”
"Well we’re both stuck in this place,so we have something in common. I’m Griffin by the way. You know in case you cared."
“Griffin, what kind of name is that? What are you, some kind of magical creature?”
"Oh you’ve wounded me with your cruel words." He said sarcastically. "Hate to break it to you honey but we live in a hospital no one here is normal!"
“Firstly: Don’t ever call me honey again. And secondly don’t lump us together. I’m nothing like you. You’re clearly arrogant and just craving attention.”
‘Race you into the water!
Plenty of people don’t know how to swim… I live by the beach, and it still shocks me how many people drown each year. Well… do you want to learn…?
I don’t know. I mean I wouldn’t even know where to start.
"Well, you never know. Some people warn others and some people dont, you can never be too careful. I don’t play dolls, I’m too old for that. I’m seven, not three. Sebastian is off duty right now, he’s at his house so I can’t," she said. Amber tilted her head and looked at the older girl. "Have you seen my night light in our room anywhere? It fell out of the wall and I can’t find it. My parents gave it to me."
“let me guess you think I’ve taken it? I’m not some kind of kleptomaniac you know.” Kay stopped and looked down at her shoes. “Besides I actually kind of liked that night light, have you looked under your bed?”
“By all means, feel free to leave me alone and stay away from me, I won’t be complaining any about that,” she said. “You meant it as a threat, and a threat is serious business here. A kid threatened to punch a doctor and it landed him in ISO for three days. I think he actually tried to hit them, though, he didn’t just threaten them.”
“Chill out will you! I never meant anything by it. You really think if I was going to actually hurt you I’d warn you first. And no that wasn’t a threat either. You need to seriously relax kid. Why don’t you go and play dolls or something. Or go and annoy your best buddy security guard.”
"I could do that, or maybe you could find another table to use."
“Maybe you could go find a bed of a sofa to lay on like a normal person!”
"Sorry, don’t mind me I was just trying to get comfortable."
“Actually I do mind, you’re lying on the table I wanted to use. So move!”
‘Race you into the water!
Then what’s stopping you?
I guess I was embarrassed. It’s not normal for a fifteen year old girl to not know how to swim and no one was ever queuing up to teach me.
Amber let out an annoyed sigh and grabbed her book, ripping it away from the older girl’s hands. “Don’t touch my stuff. I don’t touch yours, don’t touch mine. I’m the cute one, I can get away with stuff. You can’t. So go ahead and give me bruises, I’ll just make sure staff knows you keep messing with me and you’ll spend the rest of your time in ISO if you keep posing a threat. And I’m telling Sebastian that you threatened me. That’s a one way ticket to ISO. Have fun hurting me. Even if you make me bleed and bruise, I’ll always win because I won’t be going into isolation.”
“I don’t give a fuck about ISO, it’d be a treat to get away from you. I don’t think asking you a simple question is a threat, you never answered it though, I know I wouldn’t want to wake up with bruises.”
Can you please punch Amber in the face
Well I’m glad to know i’m not the only one who wants to.
