Maybe someone has mentioned this before, but I suspect this part of the ch 129.5 opening is a reference to Edogawa’s story “The Two-Sen Copper Coin.” And now I’ve gone down a rabbit hole imagining what other little random shiny things Ranpo collects. Similar to marbles in ramune bottles.

Shang Qinghua is such a mood in this drawing. This is my biggest piece I’ve made these past day. Honestly if I do color environments, there must be saturated colors or else it’s too boring for me to do it.

Sometimes I feel like my 18 y.o self. Because it’s summer and I am sad. A lot of different applications I’ve made has been rejected. And it’s hard not to feel unmotivated. Connecting with people can be hard too.

But then I remember I’m not eighteen anymore. I have a lots of ressources and my life is a lot brighter than before. So I will take my eighteen year old self’s hand and tell them

One of my favourite headcanons I get to explore in this upcoming Taiyaki fic is Ranpo’s hatred of hospitals. I imagine he’s probably carrying some unexplored trauma about them, especially considering 1) the implications behind how his parents died and 2) how Fukuzawa almost died during the Cannibalism Arc. Also the amount of poking, prodding, overstimulation, and clinical dismissal by the staff would probably be infuriating for a man who believes he knows his body better than doctors do.

Yosano is probably the only person he’d ever allow to treat him unless the circumstances were extreme.
