The Mentalist 30 Day Challenge: Day 7
favorite actress: Robin Tunney
"Agent Teresa Lisbon.", she said, extending a hand to shake, "How can I help?".
She looked at the hand that was extended towards her before she shook it. “Well maybe you can tell me if your guys have any leads that we are missing ? Because honestly I can’t wrap my head around this one.” placing her hands on her waist she started at the mountain of paperwork that was mocking her from the desk.
Her gaze travelled from the pile of papers to the women, until it rested on the Crime Board. She had a point, Jane had to agree even if she wasn’t really in the mood to do so. This case was just one of many that have seemed to pop up recently, more and more criminals were just sprouting making her almost fear that something bigger, and worse was up ahead for them.
She listened and nodded, trying to tie the new information with the old. It was good to have a fresh pair of eyes on the case, and new info never hurt anyone. “Ms. Montenegro, why does that sound so familiar ?” she stood there almost frozan and unmoving for a few brief moments as she tried to think of where she had heard that last name before, and than she finally got it. “There is this fancy restourant, I think the name is “Essence.” or something like that, I remember when we thought that the place was actually just a front for some criminal activity on a previous case, but turned out empty. I think one of the owners was a Ms. Montenegro. We should check it out ?”
"I agree, but it'll be much better if we come in there with a warrant already, so that we could be more efficient.", she says with an authoritative tone, slipping to her usual persona, "Usually, gut feelings are right, but it's not gonna be honored by a judge. Let's work on getting a warrant, ASAP. Do you agree with me, Detective?".
She noticed the other officers not minding her, which made her mad. Can't we all just settle our differences and just work to get this one right?
"Can we set aside the cops vs. feds crap that we stereotypically have and work our ass off to save this one? Please?", she said with a loud voice.
Welcoming In The Team || FB Agents Teresa Lisbon and Scarlette Brinn
She was really surprised when Agent Lisbon asked to talk to her. It will be the first time that the two of them will talk, though she can see on her face that it was a serious matter… oh well, at least she knows that Lisbon still considers her as a part of the team… her new team.
"Sure… Is this something private? We can go to the conference room.", she said with a smile, hoping that the lighter tone make her more comfortable with her.
She followed the younger agent's lead, going to the conference room. Breathe... It was the first time that she was gonna talk with the younger Agent, and that the topic that they would be engaging in would be something that wasn't a good icebreaker.
Do you want the younger woman to be safe, Reese? Then go talk with her.
"Agent Brinn, I'm sorry if we're gonna have our first conversation like this, but you gonna know somethin'.", she said, her Chicago accent thick whenever she was nervous about something, "But first... do you know the history of our team? Cho, Jane, and I? The knowledge of that will be helpful to understand my main matter.".
Define Lisbon?...ok. Here we go...👇

"Miss Watson.", she said as she extends up her hand for the other to shake, "It's wonderful to put a face on the famous name.".
"It’s good to meet you too." Joan asked, shaking her hand. "And, famous name huh?"
"I’m sure you will," Joan said, returning the smile.
“You know I never realized how bloody the world of science and math can be until I started working with Sherlock.” Joan said, shaking her head. “It’s…incredible what people will do for the credit and fame.”
"I agree. It' not being covered in the news that much, but lots of intellectuals kill for ideas and innovations... Anyways, do you have any thoughts about the case?", she said, trying to be sweet.

• Dining out {Closed to oh-sheep-dip}
Down the sidewalk Vincent made his way. He was supposed to meet Agent Lisbon for a nice lunch out. A casual affair really, nothing romantic. Earlier he had texted her where to meet him. Eating out was something Vincent himself rarely ever did. Most of the time he was at home and preparing his own meal. No harm done though.
Perhaps this would be a good change of schedule. Admittedly, Vincent could stand to get out more than he already did. Eventually he found himself standing outside of the restaurant they were to meet at. He checked his watch. 12:22 pm. Had he left too soon? Either way a small wait wasn’t a problem for him. It was a lovely day out, nothing wrong with enjoying his surroundings and nice weather.
"Oh no, oh no.", she said as she beeped one more time at the car in front of her, "Damn people, shouldn't be given licenses if they don't know how to drive properly.". She bitten her lip instead - no need to lose your cool, Reese, you're near the place anyways. Eating out was something she doesn't do all the time, and she would really want to know more of the attorney. The job is a social life killer; so she figured why not make friends inside the workplace?
She arrived in there ten minutes later without further bursts of anger - looks like the driver had a medical problem. 12:40 pm... Oh no. She hurriedly found Attorney Turner from the sea of diners and proceeded to his table.
"Sorry I'm late, something happened on the road.", she said as she sat down, "I'm usually prompt, I promise.".

"Am I in trouble, Ma'am?", she said as she entered Agent Hill's office.
A Miracle || Ray Haffner and Teresa Lisbon AU
He had to grin slightly at her playful emphasis on his name, the /new/ name. The one she was trying to get used to, test on her tongue and on her teeth. ‘What was that for, Marcus?’ she had asked, but the answer remained the same. “Just wanted to, and you didn’t seem to mind.” He brushed his lips against hers softly, teasing with his gentleness. “Should I stop?” His words were barely more than a whisper, his face inclined, close to hers. She didn’t ask him to. Instead, she just asked if they could sit back down. "Sure," Ray whispered again, nodding and sinking back into the comfortable, soft leather. He wanted to keep her close, keep his hands on her. Too much? She was the most attractive person he’d ever laid eyes on and somewhere in the back of his mind, Ray started to wonder how in the hell he had fallen for her so damn hard, but he didn’t care. It had happened, it was still happening, and he was kissing her. He brushed his fingertips against her cheek as his lips met hers, the warmth of her body warming his, like he hadn’t realized he’d been out in the cold; not until now.
A full-on make out between them ensues between them – and all she can think about was the fact that she was really happy seeing him again – as someone who cares for her. She was happy at the fact that she isn’t feeling guilt about this –it felt right for the both of them, the feelings just exploding all around the place.
A total confirmation that she’s over with Patrick, perhaps?
She can’t deny that she fell in love with her former consultant, now current crime-fighting partner – already her equal – Patrick Jane. Her world just revolved around the guy, feeding off the feelings with the little touches and glances here and there. Two years without the guy helped her realize that it wasn’t healthy for her or even for him – that she gonna move on and find someone that she can be with, sans the taxing feeling of doing all the work to make it happen.
Then his tongue is asking for an entrance.
She granted it, putting her hands around him, coming closer. When they finally pull away, she just stared to his blue eyes, panting. She just smiled at him.
“You liked that, Marcus?”
so bright and cheering!
Shhh… the mun needs her beauty sleep. Good night! :* Promise I’ll do my long replies first thing in the morning.
//Loki// "Put your hands in the air then slowly go down on the ground, NOW!", she said, gun pointed at the... costumed freak who landed from the roof of her apartment. That's a big hole, she thought. "It's a bad idea to trespass a house of an FBI agent. What do you want?"
"I am not sure it is trespassing when I fell." Loki felt the need to point out, but just did what she said anyway lowering himself down to the ground. "Is this your home?” he asked, his eyes flickering around the room, as if he disapproved of it.
"I have tried Coffee. I am not that fond of it." he said as a confirmation to her assumption, deciding not to address her first sarcastic statement.
"So what particularly do you hope to receive from this chat?”
"Tea, then.", she says as she puts some hot water into the cup from her water dispenser. When she was done filling it up, she got a teabag from Jane's stash and placed it on the water-filled cup.
"Nothing, really. Just a reason not to find you suspicious and weird, that's all."
