Re(Wire)ing Baltimore: The Conclusion
It's really hard to believe that six weeks have gone by so quickly... It seems like it was only yesterday that I was moving my bags into Millennium and we were powering through David Harvey.
Over the course of the program, I have met so many people that have challenged and changed my perspectives of Baltimore. From my fellow researchers in Anthropology by the Wire to the individuals that I met in the city itself, I don't think that I could have been introduced to Baltimore in a more holistic way.
While I am leaving Baltimore for now, I can certainly see myself coming back in the future. Its been such an inspiring and enriching experience, and I'm sad to see it end. But I know that it's not goodbye forever, and I am all the better for embarking on this journey.
We started the program off with a quote from The Wire: there's a "thin line 'tween heaven and here." For me, those lines have been blurred.
