The only thing that would have made the unwind series better is if it had more poc, like the stuff with the native Americans was all pseudo-mystic, and the fact that the leader of the violent teenage stork basically sex cult thing was a traumatized African American teenage boy (if I rmbr correctly) is a bit problematic . Actually I think all the main characters might be white? As if the system proposed in the book wouldn’t disproportionally affect poc. But it’s still pretty “woke” for YA novels
