-- ❝ look, i think i’m good right where i am. it looks like you’re having plenty of fun by yourself already...! ❞
“Don’t worry, love. I don’t plan on leaving this world quite yet,” he offered the girl a grin as he kept on mixing the drinks. “I don’t suppose you want some,” he raised his eyebrows waiting for an answer.
❝ ‘ love ’? are you seriously trying to charm me into getting a drink with you? i’m too old for you. ❞ a string of questions came from her lips before she closed her books close. ❝ if i did, i wouldn’t be lecturing you on toxic substances, would i? ❞
“Because I know for a fact it is not going to kill me.”
❝ well look at you being very confident. but you know what? ❞ she paused to throw her hands up in the air slightly. ❝ i’m not your mother. so i shouldn’t be trying to convince you to not do anything stupid. ❞

He just smiled as she spoke and he brought the drink to his lips for a long swig. “What an insult.” He said with a laugh. “Well, you want the truth I’m guess. I’m three hundred and seven five, no, going on seven six, vampire who has aged since I was twenty five. And I only hang around dark corners to find a meal, easier then in crowds.”
❝ i’m still getting used to all of ‘ THIS ’. ❞ by this, she meant the reference to the knowledge of vampires and the rest of the supernatural world. biologically and scientifically, this was not possible. it went against nature’s wishes... she knew that. ❝ when you say it like that, it makes you sound like a creep. ❞
“…Umm, who is this?”
❝ no, you first! you called me, after all. ❞
Nighttime Snack
His eyes widen at her sarcastic sass and couldn’t help the grin that crossed his lips. “Damn.” He said, as he looked over at the waiter would brought them drinks and tipped his head in turn before looking back toward her. “Well, unfortunately I’m not a normal person, so that doesn’t really work for me. I’ve been this way far to long to pretend I’m anything but normal anymore.” He said, as he took his drink and took a swig of it. “Though, your sass does remind me of the irish ladies back in my day.”
❝ oh no, don’t remind me that you’re not normal. ‘ normal ’ people don’t corner innocent women in the middle of the night for a ‘ snack ’. ❞ she moved to take a long gulp of the drink. she needed it. ❝ ‘ back in your day ’? don’t tell me you’re fifty-something with a shit ton of botox and like to hang around darkened corners because you’re desperate to get laid or something. ❞

“Hey, I could have easily left you for dead in the alley, but its not my style to waste food.” He said with a smile and leaned back in his chair now and smiled. “Like what? Tell me, enlighten me.” He chuckled.
❝ you’re disgusting. ❞ she wasn’t at all amused by all of this. how on earth could he smile so broadly as if she were just a THING to him? ❝ like THAT, ❞ she told him plainly. ❝ and don’t act stupid and demand me to tell you because seriously? i’d like to just keep things to myself like a normal person would such as my name and thoughts. ❞

Cullen restrained himself from rolling his eyes at her, as he placed his hands behind his back. “When you fall over, don’t complain to me, I tried to help you twice.” He spoke back in a sharp tone though he did like her sarcasm. “Well, you don’t tell me, then I’ll just keep calling you sweetheart, it works for me.” He said with a small smirk on his lips as he lead the way into a bar and sat down at a small table in a corner for two. Afterward, he ordered a drink for both of them as he rested his hands on the table staring at her for a moment.
eyes widened. ❝ help me? you fed off of me and healed me so you can cover your ass. that’s a big difference from helping me. ❞ they made their way to a small table in a corner -- how convenient. ❝ then i suppose you will have to keep calling me that then. ❞ she pressed her back against the chair, eyes slowly raising themselves to meet his own. ❝ must you look at me like that? ❞
“I’m willing to take the risk.”
❝ why?! ❞
Nighttime Snack
“As far as I know, I’m a vampire. I don’t have to ask your permission.” He said as he felt her pull away from him. A smile rested on his lips as he flashed over beside her. “AT least you are honest, a rare quality to see.” He said and turned her head by her chin toward him. “You will join me for a drink and you won’t leave my side until I say you can.” Afterward, he folded his arm around hers and started to lead the way.
“So sweetheart, do you have a name?”
ah, there it went again - another compulsion spell. she was join him for a drink and stay by his side until he was finished with her. that was that and no questions were to be asked. ❝ what if i don’t feel like you deserve to know my name? you’ll compel it out of me, too? ❞ she asked him sarcastically. ❝ and look - if i’m going to join you, don’t touch me. ❞ she was repulsed by the fact that he attempted to be friendly with her after the draining of her own blood to fulfill his satiation. yet again, she moved her grasp out of his again.
Nighttime Snack
“Hmmm, no,” He said, as he held her up to make sure she didn’t fall over while the blood took affect to heal her. “But I could always compel you to join me. Either way, you’ll be having a drink. I’m just letting you decide which version you’ll be doing.” He smiled as he wrapped his hand around her waist and started to lead her out of the alley way.
this was in true violation of her free-will and she knew it. dizziness and haziness was still present in her mind, blurring her vision. all because he fed off of her like a leech... ❝ you fed off of me and expect me to share a drink with you? ❞ she asked him. kai moved herself from his grasp to lean herself against the brick wall. forearm pressed against the cool and rough surface, she leaned her forehead against it, eyes falling shut. she needed a moment. ❝ i think not. ❞ it was best to give him an honest answer now when she had the chance to.
“It’s just one drink. It won’t kill me.” Blake said with a small smirk.
❝ whether it’ll kill you or not. are you seriously thinking of taking the risk? ❞
Nighttime Snack
Cullen held the ruthless persona as he fed from her deeply, before breaking the bite. Her plead to stop was only done so once he was nice and full and brush her hair behind her ear. “Shhh, I’m not going to hurt you, not yet anyway.” He spoke. In truth, he had no plans to kill her, she was food but he still valued life in some way.
He reached over and bit his wrist before placing it against her mouth whether she agreed or not and then watched both his bite on his wrist and her neck heal. His hand reached up to gently caress her cheek. “Your a pretty little thing, you know? And a very sweet taste. How about we catch a drink?” He asked, seeing if she would agree or not. Part of him suspected she wouldn’t.
haziness seemed to overwhelm the young woman’s mind. he fed her his blood, words soothing her and all her worries seemed to fade away. ❝ what if i said no? will you kill me then? ❞ it was an honest question. he had harmed her already in a way. it was just that he used his skills - whatever they were - to ease away the hurt that would have been there if he did not do such a thing.
Nighttime Snack
Cullen just smiled as he looked up at her. “Or maybe I’m just hungry.” He said as he grabbed her and disappeared farther down the alley. His hand rested under her chin and lifted it up to look as his eye dilated in the compulsion. “You won’t scream and you won’t feel any pain.” His veins appeared and with a quick movement his fangs dug into her neck as he started to feed.
❝ what on earth are you --?! ❞ before she could continue her question, kai felt herself be yanked deep into the alleyway. her screams were forbidden to escape her mouths - he demanded her to not let them. she wanted to gasp and quiver in fright at the sight of his monstrous face and the fangs the protruded from his mouth. but she couldn’t scream...! the pain that she would have felt didn’t penetrate itself there at her flesh. instead, it merely felt uncomfortable as if it weren’t supposed to be there. for the love of god, his teeth weren’t supposed to be there. this was wrong... all of this was wrong. ❝ please stop... ❞
Cami looked at her confusion, as if she was trying to figure out how that happened and what was going on. “At least she is alive.” she added, and then took a breath. “Alright.” She said.
Her veins appeared underneath her eyes as she reached over to bite her wrist again. Afterward, the veins disappeared and Cami showed her wrist to Kai, as just as quickly as it was wounded the wounds healed. “My blood does the same for anyone who drinks it. Even fatal wounds will quickly heal.”
it was frightening to witness such a change in the woman’s face. she was quite pretty and to see it distort to something so monstrous... to witness her bite into her own flesh and heal itself within seconds, it was fascinating - yet frightening. ❝ h-how is that possible? ❞ it was an honest question that faltered out from the graduate student’s lips.
