I think people online treat driving too casually tbh, like there was a poll about people's bad habits while driving and they weren't bad habits or problematic or whatever, they were all things that literally kill people every single day. You are driving a massive vehicle that can very easily turn into a murder weapon with your carelessness, take this shit seriously.

I feel like all that was needed for the arcane childhood friends au to become reality was Jayce eating his damn sandwich.

Think about it, powder doesn’t notice the sandwich, she doesn’t find the hex crystals, no explosion, Jayce kicks down the door, grabs powder, Vi goes back for the rescue and punches him in the gut, Caitlyn tackles her and blushes furiously when their faces get really close, Powder start pulling on her hair, this goes on for like twenty minutes. Mylo and Claggor were off getting Vandor who returns all the items to Jayce, who decides not to press charges cause they’re just kids, maybe hires powder as an assistant. Caitlyn and Vi develop huge crushes on each other and everyone can see it

Okay, so the stuff Viktor was playing with was absolutely some evil shit. He wasn't healing these people, he was killing and absorbing them inside of himself (not that he knew it), like Sky, so the puppets still had an echo of their old personality via being connected to Viktor. Whenever Jayce looked at his 'followers', he saw them for what they really were - hollowed out, empty husks. The moment Viktor 'died' ('cause we know he's not dead and will have a new form), they all dropped (that scream was SO haunting) and Viktor's magic keeping them alive and walking around literally flew out of them looking like puppet strings. They were just puppets. And the spirals of gold and purple? It HAS to be Void shit. And we know Void can use humanoid appearance and have intelligence to trick others. That is all to say, Jayce did the right thing. It's just that his timing was awful, and it hurt Warwick (but to be honest, if Jayce had waited longer to kill Viktor, Vander probably simply would've died just like the other cultists.)
