I was compiling a playlist entitled āš°āļøāØā, as one does, and I was adding music from one of my favorite Celtic musicians and songwriters, Shelley Phillips. I was looking for music similar in tone (harp-forward more than anything else), and I found two songs that I enjoyed that sounded Shelley-adjacent. I then realizedā¦ these are both so adjacent that I think this may be plagiarism š¬š¬š¬ liiiikeā¦ legit might play the segments side-by-side for TikTok & see if people hear what I hear becauseā¦ idk who wrote what first, butā¦ I fear the Celtic musician girlies have commandeered some musical ideas š¬š¶

Extremely hot musical theater take: I find the show My Fair Lady quite boring and I will not pretend to be charmed by the song I Could Have Danced All Night! The best song in the show is On The Street Where You Live, and my brain still confuses it for Almost Like Being In Love from Brigadoon (which by contrast is a near-perfect musical), thank you for your time
