Based on a small scene I wrote a while back. Rex (alien grunt) and Rudder (shock trooper) belong to me, and Eudia (vortigaunt) belongs to my dearest friend @cowpokebeetle !

vortigaunt cuisine concept

i wanted to build off of gabe's idea where headcrabs are used as a pork brain substitute in dishes like gulai banak. the dish above is cooked headcrab meat served with a runny curry, paired with sauce derived from antlion grubs, which is either poured into the curry to make it thicker or used as a dipping sauce.

the headcrab legs dont work as a perfect substitution to actual crab legs, but virtually you can eat them the same; you squeeze or pick the meat out and its delicious with butter or aforementioned grub sauce

i haven't come up with a proper name for the meal, but in my mind i've been calling it headcrab curry. i'd love to hear people's thoughts on other possible recipes 🥹🥹🥹
