The Story

The streets of New York City have never witnessed the debut of the vigilante known as Spider-Man. Instead, the criminal underworld whispers the name of one mercenary with breathless fear and awe: The Spider.

A mysterious killer for hire seemed to have appeared overnight and climbed to the top of the mercenary chain, the Spider had spun his web in the piths of the criminal underworld. A feat that would have taken many a lifetime had taken him a short handful of years. So it was no surprise that alongside being the most sought after mercenary, he also became a man with the highest bounty on his head.

What's new?

Enter, Deadpool, famed 'Merc with a Mouth', whose obsession with the elusive Spider, leads to a run-in with his fellow merc (all a coincidence, he would say, no stalking here, no sir!). His constant requests to join the Spider were often met with violent rejections that he never failed to pop back up from.

The thing is, being unable to die taught Deadpool a very valuable lesson: Persistence is key.
