I got these two wooden cupboard panels a while ago from a junk market stall for literal pennies... I’ve just finished Coptic stitching them into a book. Really chuffed with it...all the paper is from supermarket veg section that they use to line the boxes and packing...especially bananas and the card between stacked bottles...so it’s cost me pretty much nothing to make. I’m a bit rusty at the stitching but I love that kind of finish. Working on a new story and this book once aged a bit might be taking its role in it. X

I just wanted to do a thank you post to everyone who has bought a copy of my new book Perilune. It means the absolute world to me it really does. Self-publishing is a terrifying thing in many ways but also unbelievably rewarding.I've been utterly blown away by the response. I feel hugely lucky to be able to make and sew and create books. I'm in the middle of putting the Perilune show together and just feel really happy and relieved and excited and just humbled really. I have the best following and fans. Thank you.xx

Here is Perilune! He's the main character from my book and has been an utter joy to make and to work with. He's a strong and tough little fellow but also incredibly gentle. His job is strange and magical...just like him. He's the most poseable and detailed piece to date and is articulated at every joint and whisker.x #misterfinch #mrfinch #Perilune

Exciting day today...here's the cover to my new book!

To celebrate the launch of my new book, Perilune, I will be in-conversation with writer, curator and digital consultant, Jane Audas on 3 October 7.00pm - 9.00pm. It is with HUGE excitement that I can tell you the title of my new book which will be out September...its called... Perilune. A strange tale of moon tears, seaweed leather shoes and whistling houses... This is a different book from the Wish Post in that its a story from beginning to end. I've been sewing, creating and taking images for it since Christmas last year and now it's in its final stages before the printers. It's more mixed media than other work and I've been to lots of locations to set scenes. It's been an utter joy to work on and I'm just bursting to tell you the story of Perilune and what he gets up to...
