You're A Distraction

PART THREE OF YOU'RE A DISTRACTION.

You felt accomplished. Finally unpacking everything you had brought with you to the farms, and you now were sat on your bed, book in hand and a candle lit next to you. You were feeling your stomach start to grumble when someone opened the door and walked quickly down the steps.

"Hi love. Dinner is ready." Roger spoke, looking around at the tidy room. "Oi, you should do this for us lads. All of our rooms look like a proper mess." He snickered, leaning down and blowing out your candle.

Your eyes got trained on his lips for a split second before you convinced yourself to come back down to earth.

"Hey!" You whined, setting your book back down, and looking at him with a pointed glare.

"You can't leave it lit while we're at dinner. It'll burn us all alive." He stated matter-of-factly.

"Yeah yeah, whatever Rog." You shushed him, "What's for dinner?" You asked, perking up at filling your stomach and taking a good nights rest.

"Tonight the owners are hosting food for us, but the rest of the time we're here, we'll fend for ourselves." He shrugged, looking around the room.

Opening drawers, moving things around. You stared a him a second before speaking.

"Looking for something?" You giggled.

"I'm in love with my car." He stated simply.

"Uhm, what?" You asked, very confused at his sudden..odd outburst.

"I'm in love with my car." He repeated again. "Song i've been working on. I'm nervous to show the boys. Put my heart and soul into it." He sighed.

This was always how Roger talked about things. He didn't like to just bring things up. He wanted to act like nothing was wrong until he just blurted it out. This happened quiet a bit.

"Can I see it after dinner?" You asked, cocking your head to the side.

"Yeah, I guess so." He smiled, looking around the room once again.

You smiled, hand brushing against his as you walked in front of him to go eat dinner. You'd never know, and he wouldn't either, that you were both blushing like madmen.

Dinner went well. You caught up with the boys, talked about the album, and met with the owners of the studios, who were as nice as they could be. They told you to feel free and photograph anything you'd like around the farm to add into the selection of the bands making of A Night At The Opera.

You thanked them again before you all left to retreat back to your rooms for the night, each of you wanting a good nights sleep after the long day you had all had.

"Roggie, can I see the lyrics?" You asked, once he walked you down to your room.

"Yeah! Let me go get them from my room." He smiled, nodding you a fast goodbye before running up the stairs.

You decided to get dressed for bed while he was gone. You'd hear him when he would come in, and you'd have time to tell him to wait before coming all the way down stairs.

You grabbed your pajamas quickly, stripping from your day clothes and sighing contently once you were totally comfortable again.

Roger opened the door, walking down the stairs. When he rounded the corner, his eyes went wide. He had seen you a million times in your baby pink nightie, but every time he did, something inside him sparked. He thought you looked so at peace and beautiful, but he also wanted to take you right then. It was very contradictory.

"Uhm, here it is." He coughed, trying to advert his eyes away from you. God, he was in love with you.

You sat down on the bed and padded a spot next to you, inviting him over.

He had been in this position so many times over the last few years that you were best friends, and each time it felt harder to hide his feelings for you, but he knew you didn't feel the same way. You probably saw him like a brother. You could do so much better than him. His crazy life, his reputation, everything. You deserved more than that.

He was drawn from his thoughts when you spoke up, a small graceful giggle falling from your lips.

"Roggie, this is good. A little odd, but good." You smiled, scooting over.

It took everything in you not to stare at him. His blue eyes pierced you. His hands were so close to your legs. He'd often put a hand on your knee. You were comfortable with him like that, but of course, he didn't know the half of it.
