4:15pm, PKT 

All of a sudden, I feel sad.

And the reason for my sadness is an Instagram story.

A friend who I am attracted to posted a story of her with her boyfriend at a restaurant wishing him happy birthday.

And that triggered me.

I just came back from the office washroom. I had a good cry. I feel like I needed to cry.

Louie CK said once in an interview at Conan that Sadness is poetic; You are lucky to feel sadness. I might not appreciate his words right now, but I understand.

I guess what I have learnt is that companionship is a need. Maybe I am influenced by society, who knows. But I would like to be in a relationship whom I can share my time with and enjoy her company.

I read somewhere that God has created us in pairs. Maybe it was a Quranic verse - I am not sure. I am learning now that might be fundamentally true.

Here’s hoping to a productive and mentally well 2021.
