I know I’m not tagged but I used to make rice cooker pancakes all the time for big groups of friends staying over! They were great 😋 I usually made them tea infused with crushed earl grey and topped em with honey.

I’m just gonna rant a little bit. 

Korean immigration asked to see my birth certificate and I sent them a scan which shows up not super legible cause it’s on that special paper that shows void all over it when duplicated in any way BUT I also sent a photo of it. They told me they can’t read the information well so I need to send them a better scanned copy....UM really??? Sending a second scanned copy won’t make it any more legible cause of the special paper and the print on the bc isn’t super legible anyways BUT you can still make out the information you need! *sigh* I guess I’m just irritated because they’re being hella hard asses about my legitimacy in being born after my dad became naturalized. COME ON. Yo, I know you ain’t so fond of Koreans who immigrate and don’t register their kids on the Korean family registry but I have done nothing! and I was their for 5 years not even a full year ago. WHY. Just. Why?

Two things.

1. I can’t believe I actually got told “I’m sorry, but the school is looking for a Caucasian.” from a hagwon position I was interested in.

2. An international school liked me so much they offered me the position after my interview and sent a contract same day. Than my recruiter texted me saying the director had hella interviews and is still doing interviews but I’m the only person she’s offered a contract to :))))) I feel super blessed. Thank you Jesus!

I've been back for 8 months and warm weather is here already and I'm mostly done with reverse culture shock but like it's still "oh my" when I see so much cleavage and skin and strappy tops. Not in a bad way but just "oh my".

Btw, I did my first ultra marathon of 50K trail running at Grizzly Peak the past weekend! 7hrs35min. The goal was to just get it in before the cut off limit (9 hours) and I was so surprised at my time :) their was crazy mud and inclines and I started talking to some flowers I’d run by (super scenic, especially since Spring flowers were everywhere). But I had “fun” ahaha and I can officially call myself a ultra runner whoohoo~

So I was in line at Whole Foods and this white guy in his early 40′s was in front of me and as I was digging in my bag for something, he suddenly turned around and said “Will you back off, give me some space!” I was so shocked and said sorry but when I looked at the cash register and her face was just like wtf. Than he says, “you are in my space” once again before leaving. So I said sorry but like really if THAT was being all up in your space than you really should not leave your house. I did give it a second thought and asked the cashier who was helping us if I was that close? and she’s like no, you weren't. Seriously, I was not near that short ass fruit cake of a human. I dunno why but these little things cast such a downer on my day.
