It must really hurt when Giraffes get sore throats.
If you have a chance can you explain communism to me? I know a bit about it just not enough to understand why it’s really good. I mean I know it’s much better than capitalism but yeah. I’m not trying to be an ass, just really curious. :c
yr not an ass at all, i like talking abt it. like capitalism, there are tons of different ways ppl will try to define it so this is in general but there are plenty of more specific ideologies that fall under the socialist/communist umbrella.
communism is the idealistic end-game goal of socialism, after systems like the state and wage are abolished. state government would be replaced with direct democracy where each person has a vote (as opposed to representatives and the electoral college). resources would be redistributed so instead of 1% having nearly all the worlds wealth, everyone would have what they needed. the need for work would idealistically come to an end thanks to automatization/robots and after we’ve taken care of all peoples basic needs (food / housing / medical / etc) our societies would be able to focus on pursuing individual passions and letting people realize their true potentional when they aren’t forced to work dreadful jobs 40+ hours a week living paycheck to paycheck to fill capitalists pockets.
if you’re interested you can read theory for free online, the communist manifesto by marx/engels and the conquest of bread by kropotkin can both help you get a better understanding. noam chomsky is also a great resource on socialism, anarcho communism, and similar ideas. he’s one of my biggest political influences.
