If you aren’t exclusively attracted to the same sex don’t fucking call yourself gay.

Then stop using the terms gay marriage, gay rights, gay bars, gay pride, and gay community when you mean LGBT+ or same-sex. Stop saying “lesbian and gay organization” to refer to LGBT+ organizations – looking at you, pflag! If you don’t want gay to be an umbrella term, stop using it as one.

You can’t force the label gay on bi and pan people against our will and then complain when we use it. It doesn’t work like that.

It’s that time of year to say no to the Salvation Army.

Never forget they let a Trans woman die instead of helping her.

Never forget they have tossed entire families on the street for having an LGBT child.

Never forget they tell non Christian families that unless they convert they will not help them.

The Salvation Army kicked me out of a social work internship after 3 days for telling a fellow employee that it wasn’t ok to call being gay “disgusting” and self-identifying as queer. I graduated late and suffered for about 3 months before the school would even admit it happened let alone put me somewhere new.

The Salvation Army hate queer people more than they want to Do The Most Good.

Give that dollar or can of food to a different shelter.
