a few weeks ago, sasithorn could have never imagined sharing a living space with someone else who wasn’t a family member. but minho was as good as a family member, if not more, in he opinion. it was curious, really, how they’d even become close enough to trust each other enough to live together. but they’d bonded, bonded over a single movie that had brought her closer to him, someone who she had previously never once thought of being friends with before they’d spoken about their shared love for a filmmaker by the name of wes anderson. and then, before she could even blink an eye, he was there. he was the person who she was always with, the person that she was never without, the tweedle dee to her tweedle dum… the sam to her suzy. that was who he was to her. but then things like this would happen, he would wake up with a hangover that could rival the ones that her older brother nontanun used to get during… his ‘party days’ and she would be taken back to the days where she would be woken up by him banging around their house back in bangkok and how one of her sisters would always get up to help him get to bed. she didn’t blame him, just like she could have never blamed nontanun, the only the thing that she could really do is help him… and that’s what she would do. “are you sure ? you look like you could use a few more hours of sleep.” was her reply as she looked at him, gazing at him for a moment before she sighed gently and got down from the island counter. “i’ll tag along. i need to buy a few more eggs anyway but — are you sure you’re okay ? you know you can always talk to me… right ? ”
her concern was extremely evident -- it seemed to be always like this. when was sas not concerned ? he hated the fact that he wasted her time like this. it was his idea to have them both move in, to have them both depend and look out for each other. it was idealistic at best. he didn’t think about the downside of it all. he wanted her to fall back on him but it was highly unlikely that he wanted her to be burdened with his nonsense in return. hearing her sigh made his forced smile falter before he turned to the door. ‘ i’m fine, sas. perfectly capable of going to the store real quick. you’re accompanying me anyways. don’t you worry. ’ he hears her last words and it stops him from taking another step, hand over the door knob as he bites his lip. minho actually thinks of spilling his guts. release the waterworks usually shed during the his drunken hour but what would be the point of that ? he could at least try to just talk to her calmly about the troubles racing through his mind. ‘ sas, ’ he lowly starts. he turns back to face her and offers a soft shrug. ‘ it’s nothing new. i’ve just been overthinking things. it’s not even anything recent. it’s always about my pathetic past but ... it just never goes away. i’m it’s honestly fucking helpless. ’
