Adventures in Remodeling...Part 3 *AirBnB*
OK, so I’ve been staying in these AirBnBs over the past four-ish weeks and supposedly I will be able to move home on April 13th! But until then, I am relegated to living in someone else’s 🏡...
FYI: I am paying less $$ to rent these stupid AirBnBs AND take my 🐕🐕🐕 to doggy daycare everyday (yes I’m THAT person) than to lease a place, move all my shit in there and pay for utilities.
The Village: Update from the last post, this was the best of the three. 13 days.
Edmond: 11 Days. 2 story Town home with 2 bathrooms and a spiral wrought iron staircase. Literally a “town home village.” Some place call The Crossing - every time I drove into the place I felt like I was in some post-apocalyptic dystopian 📺 show that wasn’t quite good enough for cable TV, but #FOX would take it. They cheaped out on the flip and either some of the materials in the town home had some funky chemicals or other people’s pets left so much dander that I almost didn’t make it. I’ve taken more Benadryl and Claritan in the last two weeks than in all of 2018!
OKC: Oh GD I am on the downhill slide! I am here for 18 days and so far this place is borderline... Now mind you, I’ve lived in shitholes in my lifetime, but as far as AirBnBs go, this is a little terrible. They bought this house less than a year ago and did literally nothing to it besides install new carpet...y’all, there is wall-to-wall carpeting, EVEN IN THE KITCHEN. Broken utensils, 6 oz. coffee cups from the early 80s and PINK TILE in the ONE bathroom. Wallpaper on every inch of wall and every once in a while there is a funky smell because this house in on a stem wall. Did I mention that It’s a 3 bedroom with access to only 2? Oh, and there is random shit in the garage, presumably from the last owners...this place appears to be last updated in the 80s because all the furniture is from that decade!
Please God, let this adventure end soon...
