Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love
Aphrodite, the daughter of the Sky (Ouranos), resulting from a piece of it being cut by the sickle of Time (Chronus), plummeting down to the sea and maturing there.
The ancient Greeks said Love (Aphrodite/Venus) is the daughter of the sky with a tiny birthing stage in the sea. Literally like how the Earth might have been seeded with life that developed in the oceans (as nowadays science hypothesizes in the panspermia hypothesis) and thriving Life is really what Love is mainly about.
Aphrodite is said to have been born from the sea foam, emerging from the waves near Cyprus or Paphos, where she was particularly venerated.
The dove was considered Aphrodite’s sacred bird, representing the themes of love and devotion. This association is also linked to the dove’s natural characteristics of loyalty, care, and the lifelong pairing of this species. Doves were often depicted pulling her chariot or resting near her.

The practice of Chod is about cutting through the ego, offering up our conditioning, habits and limitations to be destroyed, and is similar to the worship of Smashan Tara by the Aghoris and other sects.
Many Shamanic traditions include a dismemberment of the practitioner before he or she can travel further into the non-ordinary realms.
Dionysus was dismembered by the Titans as a child, and his maenads dismembered Orpheus after his return from the underworld. Osiris‘ body was also dismembered by Set, before being reconstructed by Isis.
These types of practices relate to the “Solve” part of the Alchemical maxim “Solve et Coagula” i.e. dissolving your existing conditioning to free up energy and then re-combining into new and more useful structures.

It's emphasized that it only took SEVEN SESSIONS with the ouija board before they went AWOL. Which, frankly, is placid by our modern standards of radicalization. ChatGPT would've had these guys hunting the antichrist after two chats.

In Gulf Breeze, they told their visions to...psychic Anna Foster. They were arrested at her house. They expected to be thrown in Fort Knox and to never see the light of day again, but surprisingly, all six were simply discharged from the military instead of being executed. Honorable discharges, no less.
Despite this story diluting their story a bit, leaving out the part where they wanted to kill the Antichrist, the Christian eschatology and UFO elements shine through anyway. After they note the ouija board's predictions for 1993, they say six years of chaos will follow - same as the "Tribulation" part of the Rapture mythos. They'll go into hiding until 2000.

There's a video about this from the channel Wartime Stories that unsurprisingly reveals the group as not randos turned weird by seven ouija sessions, but people already into communing with aliens and hypnosis. Also, one was dating Anna Foster. They weren't just going to see her, they had planned to use her house as a hideout. According to this, the prophecy-come-true that deepened their efforts was not the Gulf War, but a major earthquake in Iran. The spirits in the ouija board sessions were mainly Biblical figures, including the literal Virgin Mary, but the most dominant entity was named "Sapphire", who was from Georgia (how they were able to talk to so many spirits during just seven/eight sessions, I don't know).
