It’s taken me a long time to get where I am concerning my sexuality. I’ve bounced around just about every identity while I tried to figure myself out, and I think that’s what made “exclusionist” ideas so foreign to me, to know that I would have to leave a community I knew and loved just because I suddenly identified as something apparently deemed “unfit” for LGBTQIA+ spaces. It felt like a slap in the face because I, in my own experience, had never received the sort of hatred you can find here on Tumblr for a-spec folks like myself, until recently (and I use the term “recently” loosely). I always assumed we were welcomed, all of us. That’s what it’s about isn’t it? Inclusion, acceptance, and love of anything that isn’t of the societal norm in terms of gender and sexuality. Initially it made me sad, and disappointed, and I actually believed maybe I didn’t have a place there anymore. But I’ve come to realize that no one can speak for the whole of the community. Where some spaces may exclude you, others will welcome you, and I have no intention of invading spaces that don’t want me there (LGBTQIA+ or otherwise!). I’d much rather surround myself with people who accept me, and there are so /so/ many people of the community that do still love and accept and include all of the a-spec people! So, while I understand that not all LGBTQIA+ spaces are for me, there are plenty that are, and because of that I will never sever my ties to the community, and I will never sever the label of LGBTQIA+ from myself. Not for my past or my present. I’m proud to be asexual and aromantic, and this month is as much for people like me as anyone else that feels pride for who they are, in spite of what society actively tells you. Happy pride month everyone!

Paint-on-glass animation is a technique for making animated films by manipulating slow-drying oil-paints on sheets of glass as the animator gradually alters the shapes they create, and during this process, a camera records each finished ‘frame’.

When adapting ONE’s Mob Psycho 100, director Yuzuru Tachikawa wanted to adapt the source material in fantastic ways. And so, by combining the talents of a skilled staff, an anime with an incredible mix of animation techniques was born. 

Mob Psycho’s ending, and a good portion of the paranormal scenes are a complex product of paint-on-glass animation, done by Miyo Sato, a Tokyo University of Arts graduate and animator who has had her work nominated for multiple international animation awards.

ALRIGHT grouse’s death was like super cinematic though and just heron’s reactions and everything going on made it so much better, heron just had like so much depth to him in general and you could feel that, he’s like just. and this is literally all of your characters MEADOW ROBIN ALL OF THEM

WHAT IS THIS BEAUTIFUL COMPLIMENTARY SASS I’M HEARING heck to the naw, i’m not doNE MY ART IS A PLAIN PIECE OF GRASS COMPARED TO yOURS. theres so much depth and story and emoTION behind your artwork. you always think up some of the best concept,s and u execute them so beautiFULLY. that pic of sable and the blood?? apple and the falling??? even before okibi hopped on to join the fun and prodded me to do the same i was in loVE with that piC ok. the colors, just the feelING behind it, IT WAS THE BEST. i just go thru the motions and do normAL things, while ur over there fucking it all up with ur amazing creative vision, i cant with u oK UR ART IS PERFECTION teaCH mE i concede that cicada didnt need to die, bUT HIS DEATH WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE DEATHS U RP.
