Cleanse the lens
Before you even consider snapping away, make sure to give your camera phone lens a wipe down. No matter how great you think your photos are, all it takes is a small fingerprint on the lens to ruin them all.
See the light
Low lighting is your phone’s kryptonite. Candles and fairy lights may set the festive mood, but a low glow often also means low quality photos. Daylight is best for smart phone cameras, plus there’s nothing more magical than a hint of snow in your snaps.

Go off center Just before you take a photo, mentally draw a line down the middle of the scene on your screen and make sure that the focus of your photo is on either side of the line. Sounds bizarre, but placing the subject of your photo off center is the key to a more professional pic.
Stay still A sturdier you, means a sturdier photo. So before snapping, turn yourself into a human tripod. Hold the phone with both hands and pull your elbows into your chest for better, sharper photos.
Snap snap snap Take ten photos, a hundred photos, a thousand photos if you have to! The beauty of a smart phone camera is that you can. Plus, the more photos you take, the more likely you are to end up with a bunch of keepers.
