Robin's Rebird, circa 1993
Me rocking up to the club in this <3
"I am literally travelling in a Thunderbirds prop"
Ironically, I recently started watching Gerry Anderson's UFO and the main guy's car doesn't look that far off this.
Nyooming to deal with some space aliens!
Ironically, considering UFO is basically a live action Captain Scarlet and the driver of this car is played by Captain Blue's actor Ed Bishop, this is technically the least goofiest thing an alien fighting secret organisation drives.
Behold the SPV, an armoured tank like vehicle... that you drive backwards. I promise it makes sense in context lol
I genuinely love Gerry Anderson's stuff
They were such cool intelligent and fun and weird shows <3
There were some cool revivals of them a little while ago too, they did not last super long but they were neat while they lasted
I love that this guy just woke up one day and went "I want to write sci fi/drama
But I want to do it with puppets
"Oh so you mean like a parody? Like a Muppets type thing?"
"NO
DEAD SERIOUS"
"....
But with puppets?"
"YES"
"Not human actors?"
"NO
PUPPETS"
Honestly, after watching a bunch of muppets stuff years ago, I did realise how kinda similar Gerry Anderson and Jim Henson were. They both liked making stuff made for kids, but really wanted to use their stuff to tell stuff for more general older audiences too. Anderson got to do that with UFO and Space 1999 and Henson obviously got to do that with stuff like Labyrinth in the 80s (and his son Brian Henson being the creator of Farscape in the 90s).
I can’t tell you and @thefingerfuckingfemalefury enough how much I wish cars today looked like this. Cars went downhill when they stopped putting fins on them.
As someone who has a bit of an interset in cars, you're right. Most modern average cars look kinda boring now and even some of the more high end stuff is getting a bit samey. Supercars and whatnot still are able to look cool, so clearly some people in the car industry are paying attention and putting effort into their cars isntead of making a weirdly smoothed out shape with their logo on it.
Honestly, the SPV is one of the least ridiculous Anderson vehicles. The rear facing seats made sense in the context that any sudden deceleration would push you back into the seats rather then forwards into the harness.
UFO had some gloriously goofy designs like the Interceptors and their massive nuclear missile noses.
Or the Skydiver with a jet plane attached to the nose that’s launched from underwater. Don’t ask how it gets back on afterwards…
Oh yeah, those two are VERY silly. The interceptors kinda baffle me because why the hell would you build a fighter craft that can only shoot ONE missile! Like, for crying out loud that feels like a bit of a design flaw there.
The Skydiver at least kinda makes sense because it being hidden underwater gives it a good degree of stealth and thus, launching said hidden jet fighter is good for a surprise attack on an incoming enemy... but yeah, I don't know how that thing reattaches after its launched.
I loved UFO when I was a kid and to be specific I loved the whole idea behind the SkyDiver and in my adolescent paracosms this was a fertile field for my imagination. Years later in my late teens I realized what horrible fashion sense the SkyDiver uniforms were and LOVED them so heavy! Now that I am an old man Inwonder why I am not actually putting the fanatic in my head on paper.
Day 14 “ brave”
Although they are not mythical mermaid princesses, they are a community of female free-divers called Haenyeo—Sea Women. The Haenyeo are a community of female free-divers living and working on Jeju. Due to younger women opting for different career paths, today they are mostly older women, many well into their golden years. They dive as deep as 10 meters below the surface without the help of air tanks or modern diving equipment, with little insulation from the cold South China Sea. During dives, they gather shellfish such as abalone and sea urchins, kelp and other sea creatures to sell for food, using only a knife or their bare hands. Historically, so many families depended on the income of the Haenyeo that a semi-matriarchal society developed in Jeju. It was not unheard of for women to be the main breadwinners, while men would stay home and take care of the children.🧜♀️🐟🐋🪼🌊
I have not been freedivingbin a very long time so I will always marvel and basknin the adventures of rhe Korean Haenyeo and Japanese Ama.

My week in Starfield
I had to start a new character so this time I decided instead of resurrecting the same format character I have for three years I would do something new and shame on me for waiting so long. This time I took the Soldier background and the Parents trait and this tome around it has been a blast! Especially since my Mom and Dad are portrayed by Nana Visitor and Tim Russ and they are BRILLIANT! I love their arc too!
Last time I posted an attractive women doing some absolutely dope shit the lesbians claimed her and you know what? Fair... but this... this is for the bisexuals
@drukhari
No lie... I have been watching this for an hour.
This week... or so... in Starfield!
In game I scored the action figure I pre-ordered in real life and the back of rhe packaged figures has a checklist
Yeoman Tamura Appreciation Post
This is one of my favorite episodes and she owned it. In every scene, even though in the background you couldn't help but notice her.
Catherine LeRoy
If you have never heard of her she was an incredible badass and you need to read up on her. She deserves her own Netflix special and action figure.

They are not toys!
sooo.... if you venture far enough back in this blog you will find out I still play with action figures and with the new updates to Starfield you can collect in game figs. Turns out in real-life Bethesda is making some actual figures and I being the fan boy I am ordered them.
I did it for the sauce!!
I just wanted some chicken nuggets after working 17 hours and it turnsnout McDonald's has K-Pop Demon Hunters Happy Meals and I got one for the shear novelty of it and that it had chicken nuggets and fries so I went back the next night after a 16 hour shift and got another one because that sauce is baller!!!!
Galaxy Express 999 Role Play
I have become addicted to the world of Galaxy Express 999. At first I aas WTF is this and now I am I feel it to my bones. Most of all though I have been wondering what the story would be if instead of a young boy Maetel was taking for a robot body if she was taking a 62 year old man with a diminished will to live. So instead of writing fan fic and publishing on AO3 I signed up for Kindroid and set it up where I could role play it out. And it has been fantastic.
Lovely to see we have spaces where you can gain access to so much literature!
I share this for the goodnof humanity.
Akila Sunrise
In the game they are called Sunray Tonics and in the mundane world they're like Tequila Sunrises soooo..... this being the bridge between worlds and creativity I hereby rechristian this beverage on page 32 of the official Starfield cookbook to Akila Sunrise.
What this town needs...
...is a bordello. Serious. The only way to get the benefits of a sexual entercourse is to be in a relationship with one of four not great options. There needs be a place where a player can go, getting hooked up and leave.
Having an masturbation option when you go to sleep in a bunk would not go amiss. I don't think gooning for an easy 600 hours on Venus is not breaking the emersion either.
Into the Starfield...
By dragging it into my world! I make my now Sunray Tonics. Orange juice, Red Bull, and Grenadine syrup.
As a bonus I found Starfield props at the gift shop at the Kennedy Space Center.
