The greatest thing that physical illness and PTSD taught me was that we must value every feeling we have. When we label ourselves crazy or broken, failures or worthless we are reflect suggesting that our experience is not valid. It took a long time to feel safe in my body and mind again but now at 33 the worst thing I can think of is to disconnect from my journey. We should never ever forget that we are a product of the earth. This planet is the most wondrous thing to me and exploring it is the most comforting thing I know. If I'm a product of it then I have to feel the same way about my time upon it. Being kind to, listening to and looking after ourselves have to be non-negotiable things. P.s Thank you kitty for endlessly reminding me of the power of being still.
