I honestly remember when I first fell in love with hip hop it was definitely around The Backpack Era/Native Tongue Era was a big fan of Black Moon...De La Soul...Leaders of the New School Brand Nubian & of course A Tribe Called Quest. Bonita Applebum was my favorite song I remember purchasing The Low End Theory at a pawn shop next door to my church for like less than $5 and listening to it Sunday's before church while getting dressed. When Midnight Marauders dropped that album changed my life it made me see a different perspective of hip hop with sampling & loops it totally turned me out to oldies that's when I knew my bond with music was solidified. I remember sitting in the backseat on family trips blaring this album in my Sony Discman listening to it on repeat for hours never got tired of listening to it...till this day I still listen to it like its my first time listening to it. Reason being why I'm so devastated my this loss of a true hip hop legend it hit so close to home I felt like I lost a brother a uncle a close cousin because A Tribe Called Quest was very influential & played a big part in my life coming up and still does their music shows through my choices of music and my artwork and Phife & ATCQ will forever live on through anything I do. A Tribe Called Quest hands down best rap group/duo next to Wu-Tang & Outkast...Rest In Power Phife Dawg you will be truly missed rest easy #LongLivePhife #ATCQ4Eva
