“You’re wasting your time,” Mirage drawled, watching someone pushing the coffee shop door when they should’ve been pulling. “Want to know why?” she asked, not waiting for them to answer before continuing, a cocky smile on her face. “Because you clearly can’t read.” The woman pointed to the sign, then pushed the door for them. “You’re welcome.”

He did have a difficult time reading, that was true. It took him a lot longer to read than it would most people. He knew that but hearing someone say it made his stomach flip and his heart sink all the way down. He ducked his head in a sort of shy manner and let her open the door for him. A bit flustered he spoke, “Oh! I must not have been paying that much attention.” He hadn’t even seen the sign let alone tried to read it. ‘Pull’ was an easy word and he would have been able to get it. “Thank you, miss.” He said, voice soft and a bit embarrassed.

Georgette let out a yelp as she felt herself fall to the ground for the second time this week. Really? Did the Earth love her so much that it wanted her to come closer? She would rather believe that over her being clumsy. When the man that tripped her touched her back so recoiled, moving away from him quickly. “Don’t you dare touch me! Do you know who I am?” She exclaimed and then looked up at him. “Y-You’re one of them.” She hissed. Why were they following her around now? She scrambled to her feet. “You tell that leader of yours that he got his money and to stop sending you goons after me. I will not tolerate this harassment, do you hear me?”

He pulled back his hands when she snapped at him and glanced her over. Checking to make sure she was okay. She quickly had a reaction when she realized who he was and it took him only a second to know who she was right after she reacted to him. “Miss Foxworth!” He exclaimed, “I didn’t know it was you. It’s great to see you again.” He said but she was already going off about Dodger. “Goons?” He asked with a blink, “We’re not goons, we’re all family and this is just... a misunderstanding. I didn’t mean to trip you.”

“Jeez!” Meg perhaps was being a bit dramatic, but no one had ever said she was above that particular personality trait. She glared up at him as she moved to her knees. “Your legs are so long, you should have a license to operate them. Like a crane or some shit.” She huffed and waved him off, climbing to her feet. “I’m fine, Paul Bunyan, don’t worry about it.”

Einstein blinked in surprise when she started glaring at him. Except, maybe he shouldn’t be surprised. He kinda deserved it. He let out a soft laugh at her words. “Really? You think so?” He asked her with a smile. Picturing a world for a second where tall people had to get a license to operate their own legs. The thought was pretty funny. “Oh, no. My name is Einstein, actually.” He said, sounding a bit confused where she could have gotten the name ‘Paul’.

Scotty hadn’t been watching where he was going, and it wasn’t until he unexpectedly hit the ground and heard the voice of the other, that he realized he wasn’t alone. He jumped a little when the other knelt down next to him and moved his big hand,relaxing slightly when he realized he wasn’t about to get smacked. “Uh. i’m….yeah, i’m fine. i can get up though, it’s fine.” he rambled on, pulling himself to his feet; brushing himself off and looking at the knees of his jeans, now even more torn than they were before and judging by the slight stinging he was sure his knees were scraped up. “Sorry….that was my fault. wasn’t looking where i was going, i’ll go ahead and get outta your hair.”

When the kid got to his feet, Einstein got to his own. Eyeing the damage he had caused. He couldn’t help but feel a bit bad. His jeans were torn and his knees looked all scraped up. “No, no.” He disagreed. “It’s my fault. Is there anyway I can make this up to you?” He asked him. Deciding that even if he said no, he would have to insist. He just felt so bad about getting the boy hurt. Before he could answer, he continued. “Mhm, there has to be something... hey, I know! Food always makes me feel better! Do you like hotdogs?” He asked, “There’s this great little hotdog stand down this street, why don’t we go?”

Tito was walking down the street, eyeing up a few cars seeing if there was anything useful he could boost. Suddenly someone grabbed his arm pulling him into a neat by building. “coño carajo maldita sea pendejo!” he yelled out surprised by the sudden grab. “What’s your issue huh? I could have stabbed you estupido/a.”he sighed. “que tu quieras con mi vida?” @newfantasiastarters

Einstein glanced down at Tito, watching him go off like a little firecracker at his feet. He didn’t quite understand most of the things he said, but he did understand estupido. A frown tugged on his lips, it was something he heard a lot. He waited patiently for Tito to stop talking so that he could explain. “There was a cop. I thought we were supposed to avoid them.” He said, gesturing his head for Tito to see the officer he was talking about.

Einstein glanced around. He was supposed to get loot today for the gang. He knew they preferred money but objects sold for money... When he was greeted, he nearly jumped with surprise. “Oh! Hi!” He replied. She seemed so excited and sweet. Immediately his idea to steal from here vanished. She would be so sad if he did... but he had to bring back something. He frowned a bit to himself. “I guess I’m just looking around... but maybe you can show me a few things you like?”

He hadn’t meant to trip them. Einstein was just stretching out his long legs. Leaning up against the fence for a moment. “Hey, are you okay? I’m sorry about tripping you, I didn’t mean it.” He said, kneeling down in front of them quickly and moving one of his large hands over their back as if stroking them would be comforting to them. (Especially if they were a stranger). “Do you want help up?” He asked.
