Kinda just met Brigette Lacquette

The local youth department was able to host Brigette in a Zoom call where she told around 11 of us about her story thus far and it was so inspiring. I learned that she actually wanted to be a teacher like her mother but stuck with hockey instead. I’m in school for teaching right now, so that was cool to hear. I mentioned that I follow her on Instagram and see her skiing with friends from time to time. I asked her if she had any Olympic hopes for downhill skiing and she laughed and said “no chance of that happening, it’s too hard on the quads!” LOL

Such an awesome opportunity, I’m so glad I went! :)
