Mission Accomplished!

Our cookbook has been completed, printed, and delivered! It turned out really well, and I'm proud of the work we did.

I gave the cookbook to Stephen on Saturday. He flipped through it and said it was really cool. He was thankful for everyone who contributed. The volunteer helping run his line also said she loved the name (Olicity ❤️) and that she wanted a copy. Haha.

I gave a copy to Emily on Sunday. Her line was really long on this day, so she wasn't allowed to have long conversations with fans like she had been having the day before. When I gave it to her, she really liked it and started flipping through it. She said it was so cool and that it would be a hit among her friends (who were sitting at the end of the table keeping track of her gifts for her). She thanked us for it. ❤️

While I waited for my friend to have her photo signed, I talked with Carina and another of Emily's friends for a minute. They both were looking through the cookbook, and Carina said it was one of the sweetest ideas she'd seen. I told her that even if Emily doesn't use it, it's still a cool representation of the people and cultures that are included within the fandom. She said, "Oh, she loves to cook. She'll definitely use it."  ❤️  Carina even tweeted about it later that day:

If you want to participate, get your recipe in before it's too late. :) You can turn your recipe in via email (directions on the blog) or DM it to me.

If you would like to add your favorite recipe to the delicious list below, make sure you send it to me by Sunday please. :) You can click the link on the “templates” page on this blog to type your recipe yourself, or you can DM the recipe or link to the recipe to me, and I’ll make sure it gets added. 

FAQs

Q: Can I submit more than one recipe?

A: Sure! Go for it!

Q: I want to participate, but I either don’t cook or I wing it when I’m cooking and don’t have an exact recipe.

A: That’s ok! You can find a recipe for your favorite dish, even if you don’t cook it yourself, and submit it. Just make sure you include a link to the source somewhere! 

Q: Can I submit a drink recipe?

A: Sure! Why not? :)

1 WEEK LEFT TO SUBMIT A RECIPE.

Our list is coming along nicely! We have authentic Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Brazilian, Egyptian, and Syrian recipes, among others!

If you want your favorite recipe included in our cookbook, please visit the "directions" page on this blog (OR dm the message to me here ornon twitter - @charmingwords23 - and I'll make sure it's included).

Don’t let the deadline sneak up on you! We have about 2 weeks left (due date is November 5th) before I need to close submissions so I can format the cookbook and get it printed. If you want to contribute, don’t miss your chance! :)

**If you are having trouble with the template, you can email me the recipe/link to the recipe or send it in a DM on Twitter and I will make sure it’s included.

I will compile the recipes into a book to give to Stephen and Emily at HVFF Atlanta. It will be a fun way to show them all the lives they’ve touched! After it’s finished, I’ll try to combine them all into a large PDF and share it on this blog for the fandom to download for ourselves! :)

Fandom Cookbook Update

The cookbook is coming together nicely! I've added a page of conversions at the beginning so people from all over will be able to use the recipes no matter what units of measurement they are used to.
