did you really think, i just forgive and forget?
Also, new enemies x lovers ship just dropped. Toxic exes Bunny and Sae …
hey babe, wake up: new fav character just dropped.
In Ego we (don’t) trust: a blue lock short summary.
Yeah no but caught up with Blue Lock (finally), and a lot of people were saying that Nagi is clearly Isagi’s deuteragonist - with him having his mental breakdown similar to Isagi’s in the first chapters, and obviously him having to come back at one point after the U-20.
Which, in my opinion, does not make sense.
Why? Well. What would be the point of alternating Nagi’s story outside of Blue Lock (we did not have it for Kunigami), and putting the days that we have UNTIL the U-20 World Cup if not for giving Nagi a deadline?
Look there.
We have two foreshadowing moment to assume that Nagi is going to be back for the U-20:
1.) Ego not choosing Nagi.
Ego has talked in ch. 299-300 about how Nagi’s talent has ‘withered away’ and that it will never bloom again. But, Nagi is - by definition - a genius. He has had plays that went way beyond his capabilities because in those moments he could believe that he was above the ones he wanted to beat.
Then again, Nagi has not played soccer for a long time. And throughout all of this time he has always been good enough not to put more effort than needed. Which, in turn means, the only way for Nagi’s talent to bloom again - is that of changing his conditions and undercurrents: if he is not chosen by someone else (Ego, Reo, Isagi), can Nagi choose himself and that he has to establish an objective that has to do with soccer all by himself? If he can, that means Nagi would be choosing.
In the end, what Seishiro needs to do is firmly understand that what he lost is not his place in Blue Lock, but a distant goal that gave him enough purpose for himself to fight. Which, as of now, he did not do: Nagi has always been somehow tied to someone else to get through his moments - and this is the result. If Nagi can get himself out of this slump, then he can start by reforming himself by becoming not who he used to be in Blue Lock, but on the hand, Nagi Seishiro that does not give up soccer.
Which brings me to the second point:
2.) Isagi saying to Nagi that he should not stop playing soccer.
As bizzarre as I found this, and especially given that Isagi is still reeling about Nagi’s elimination - I believe that Nagi’s fire/flow eyes give away that notwithstanding, he does not want to give up (even though he says that his memories and Reo have become way more important to him now).
I do not have a doubt that this isn’t the last we have seen of Nagi - nor I am doubting that if Nagi is coming back is under much better mental stability and security in what he can achieve.
Ego has indeed done the only thing (in a way, this is Nagi’s task to master before the U-20) that he could to shake Nagi out of his stupor: not choose him for once. Nagi has always been the one choosing and now that he cannot do this anymore, he needs to proactively do something about it.
I'm the last wall to be conquered before Japanese soccer can be reborn. Surpass me, Blue Lock! - Blue Lock S02E12
I’m gonna tell y’all something.
I’m an Anime only for Blue Lock, so I don’t know who this man is really…but I took one look at him and I would go down on my knees in a grocery store for him.
Who are you? What’s your name? What’s your favorite color? How do you like your eggs in the morning?
Love how this is how almost every relationship in blue lock starts
" this guy is weird af "-> saying the gayest shit about each other
