When i was a boy, we used to travel by car to the holydays. Everywhere east from Berlin to Poland, Cechslovakia, Ungary. We used to have this yellow Trabant and I remember how I wondered the first time about the massive “dirt” on the front pumper when we stopped for a break. I learned the dirt was actually insects that are not able to get out of the way when our families car is driving on the autobahn.

The yellow Trabant was sold in the late 90s to a Monster Truck mecanic as far as I know and now I don’t see much of that dirt on the pumpers anymore.
