Another awesome Gundam from Mobile suit Gundam age. This is the XVM-FZC Gundam Legilis.
The Gundam Legilis was the first Gundam type produced by the previously unknown enemy Vagan. The Legilis' design was based on data obtained from the Age-3 Orbital after it was captured and combined with data from the EXA-DB (I'll explain that later.)
It's weapons are based on the typical Vagan mobile suit weaponry featuring a beam rifle and a small shield on it's left forearm. The Legilis also features the typical hand mounted beam sabers/beam vulcans like other Vagan mobile suits which can be plugged into their beam rifles.
The Legilis also features higher mobility thanks to vernier thrusters mounted throughout it's body. It also has two wings mounted on it's core fighter block that can unfold revealing more vernier thrusters improving it's mobility further. The core fighter can detach from the suit to allow the pilot to escape should it suffer fatal damage or be destroyed.
a special feature about the Legilis is that unlike earth federation mobile suits, it's cockpit is inside the head itself like other Vagan mobile suits. The visor on the head unfolds revealing the cockpit and folds up revealing the typical Vagan mobile suit visor but can turn into a twin eye Gundam face.
The Legilis like it's fellow suits features a tail beam cannon attached to the core block and can fire in any direction, it is useful as it can be used to destroy other enemy suits even if both hands are not in use. It also features a chest mounted beam cannon called " the beam buster" that can be fired to destroy an opposing suit.
The Legilis' shield is very unique to the suit as it is coated in electromagnetic armor which protects it from enemy attacks, However, The shield can also be used for offense by unfolding a piece of it's armor on top and firing bright yellow particle bits that can be used both offensively and defensively. The bits can be controlled by the pilot's X-rounder abilities via brainwaves and can chase down an enemy and explode on contact. The bits can also surround the Legilis in a spherical shield while in combat giving it complete protection but can still be destroyed by beam rifle shots.
