Used to find the very idea of the Night Lords deeply, painfully cringe and like...yeah there's still a certain amount of goofy ass shit going on there but their entire story is full of pathos.
Like imagine you escape your nightmarish home planet via a highly romanticized job that provides for all of your needs, but you're stuck with a gene-father who's
-basically 9ft Self-Righteous Richard Ramirez
-extremely mentally ill and growing worse by the minute
-filled with nothing but seething contempt for you and your brothers (partly justified as you guys are the fucking worst)
But you're indoctrinated with a combination of Imperium propaganda and trauma bonding to constantly seek your abusive fathers validation, so you carry out his fucked shit on command and become universally reviled for it, including by said father.
Then your father decides to destroy your planet and secede from the Imperium, which you have to go along with. What are you gonna do? Stop your nightmare dad?
Now you and your god awful found family are truly isolated; your only options for companionship are various horrific weirdo Chaos Marines and whichever creepy unstable assholes you got stuck with in your company. Well, also your dad, who is still very much a 9ft tall mentally ill guy who despises you.
Then an already bad situation shits the bed further when you lose the civil war, your dad decides to do suicide by cop and your legion fractures into a hundred scattered companies.
You're pretty much just a goth pirate now, which sounds dope in theory, but absolutely isn't in practice.
Everyone hates you, you're stuck with the fallout of your dead dad's decisions, you can't revert back to normie life due to being a homeless transhuman freak fugitive, you can't ditch these losers to switch to a new legion because the Loyalists will execute you on sight and joining up with Chaos means being enslaved by demons.
You have no plan, no purpose, no central leadership, your people/culture are an endangered species; it's just you and five shithead creeps floating through space until someone finally manages to chop your head off with a power sword.
I saw a really cool dress and I had to inmediately draw Urion (my drow/bismuth earth genasi cleric) in it- I don't have too much post-campaign art of them and that's something that needs fixing!!
I tried to post this earlier today, but couldn't due to connectivity issues. All fixed. Here we go! By now, we're well aware that Steph Bullock has a LONG list of talents. Well, we can add actress and author to that list! Sam Heughan is indeed a lucky man to have her as his girlfriend. 🤗
As we already know, Steph has a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree and she works providing animal assisted therapy services. She also sings, paints, draws, makes jewelry, played volleyball in her native Canada, and used to model. She is also a devoted mother to her 9 year old daughter.
Weeelll, she also has actress and author as part of her repertoire. One of the Team let me know that a few years ago Steph acted in a spoof of the long running television series, "The Bachelor." The spoof was a Canadian production called "The Cashelor." Here is some info about it. 👇
Because of Tumblr's 1 video per post limit, I can only post one of the episodes, but there are more. Check this one out. 👇 FYI: this isn't actually a dating show, it's a spoof on the dating show "The Bachelor," and it's made by a credit union, so all the dialogue involves financial stuff and is totally done tongue in cheek.
It's down to the final two women but who will Trixtan choose? Will it be Dashne or Daisy-Ann? Find out on the most dramatic, shocking, shock
How adorable is she?! 😍 And she's a good actress--natural and charming. I'm glad we get to hear her voice. And my God is she beautiful! 😍 I might be developing a girl crush. 😊 No wonder Sam is so smitten and spends as much time as possible with her. ❤️
The Team member also told me that the hater, shipper, ex-shipper side are making fun of Steph's videos and also saying that she's only dating Sam because she wants to get into acting. Um, an ACTOR dating someone who has acted before, alert the presses! 🙄 Not only is the dark side super misogynistic--putting down every woman Sam has dated, they are also Sam haters. Sam is not dumb. He's 46 years old, has life experience now, and is not going to be anyone's fool.
And if Steph starts doing some acting now, so what? She can act. And she can sing. When she was married to Talos aka Eoin French, she sang. Beautifully. Does that mean she married Talos to become a singer? That's ridiculous. I hate to break it to the idiot brigade, but couples with similar professional interests flock together. Actor couples act, Singer couples sing, Painter couples paint, Lawyer couples practice law, Doctor couples practice medicine. Together. And they help each other in their fields. And sometimes they help each other get jobs. There is nothing wrong with it. It's called helping your partner succeed. I swear sometimes I wonder what alternate universe some of these haters live in. 🤔🙄
And if Steph was such a "user," then why is the indomitable Caitriona Balfe following her on Instagram, liking her posts, especially on her private account, which we saw when Steph's account was open, and why did Cait and Tony go on a double date with Sam and Steph when Sam was performing in Macbeth? And why are SO many people in Sam's life also following Steph? From his Outlander driver, to his family members, to his friends, to his costars. Steph is a special lady for all of that to be happening. Again, none of those people are dumb either. The ONLY other Sam girlfriend Caitriona followed was Mackenzie Mauzy. Cait following Steph speaks to the seriousness of the relationship AND to Cait giving Steph her stamp approval. Clear as day. But, none so blind as those who will not see.🤷♀️
Maybe Sam and Steph can be in a movie together! Imagine. That would be amazing. But, it seems that Steph has taken a different path and is dedicating herself to animal assisted therapy. She's smart and compassionate. Unlike some people in the fandom.
Now onto the other Steph talent the Team member showed me. During Covid, Steph wrote a short children's book! It appears to be inspired by her young daughter.
Here it is. 👇 And Steph donated ALL the profits to a Canadian cancer foundation in honor of a little boy that died. 🥹
The more I find out about Steph, the more I like her, and the more she seems like a perfect match for Sam. 💞
Thanks haters for inadvertently giving the SANE part of the fandom something else to admire about Steph. 🤭
PPS. After the hater blogs posted the Steph videos, the videos are now private on YouTube, obviously because these a-holes started trolling in the comments. SMH.
