earlier this year, the government of Ontario gave me a grant to write a book based on a pitch. and then I was like oh fuck, I actually need to write this book now.

but IT'S DONE! grant book is finished! it's very petite (>50k) and not at all my usual style of writing, but re-reading the ending made me cry in public, so maybe it's alright.

the premise is: you're a changeling. you were been swapped at birth for a human child, sent to human schools, and now in adulthood, are a bit of a failure. because, turns out, it's really hard to do human things when you're not actually human.

but still, things are going decently! until the human you were swapped for comes back to take their life. and - instead of treating them like an invader - everyone loves them. more than they do you.

definitely not a metaphor for anything, don't read into this too deeply, hahahahah! but anyway, it's called The Auf, and I hope it'll be a real book someday.

I thought it might be nice to start painting landscapes daily again so I'm trying it! Here's the first #ImaginaryHiking

For the non-french followers, I made some illustrations for the snap parliamentary elections that are happening in France right now. The far-right is really close to seizing power in the country, so the leftists parties formed an alliance called Nouveau Front Populaire and I guess I'm just doing my part as an illustrator.

The Porco Rosso illustration is from last week during the first round, and the other one is for the second round (this sunday).

I drew CareBears planting an antifascist flag because in France rightist keep calling everyone on the left a CareBear, meaning they think we're too naive and loving. I don't really how that's an insult but that's the right for you I guess.

Also I received my first display drawing tablet last week, and it makes me want to draw so I'll have a few things to post in the coming weeks, I think!
