3D printed Pokemon badges I made yesterday. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/pokemon-badges-printed.html
I wanted to print all the pokemon badges off but had massive issues with the meshes I found on Thingiverse. Thus I had to make my own. You can read more on the blog: http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/pokemon-badges.html
Decided to use a Kanto Volcano Gym badge to test my 3D printer today. Still needs refining but is certainly getting there. You can download your own ones here. Blog http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/3d-printing-further-experiments.html
Finally I have got to run some prints from my 3D printer! Read more on the blog: http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/3d-printing-getting-the-thing-printing.html
Dug out an old project for a bit of work this week. This sci-fi pulse rifle type thing I started doing ages ago. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/sci-fi-pulse-rifle.html
Pretty much my dream job would be building a new one of these experiences. For those that don't know Alien War was an interactive Aliens experience running off and on for 21 years. More info here: http://www.scaretouruk.com/alien-wars---21-years-of-extraterrestrial-terror.html
Was just going through my old projects and stumbled upon these blueprints I did last year. At the time of doing Legion cosplay I was considering making a M-98 Widow to go with it. However I never had time and quite frankly the extra weight would have destroyed me at MCM. Still, one day maybe!
I exported my head as an .STL and have run Slic3r to see how it might 3D print. Bearing mind the overhang etc. I would of course do more with this for an actual print run. Read more on my blog. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/solid-snake-head-update.html
Solid Snake PS1 character head is done. Was a fun thing to try out. Might have a go at the rest. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/snake-head-model-update.html
Been modelling the good old PS1 Snake today. Here's how far I got after a couple of hours still much to do but it's taking shape. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/low-poly-snake.html
After people seemed to like my MGS 3D work yesterday I thought I'd start more. Had a go at modelling the iconic Socom. Still got a lot to do including the laser aim module that makes the thing so memorable. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/socom.html
Metal Gear Solid - Solid Eye
New blog post up about a project I've got in the mix. I've modelled the 'Solid Eye' from Metal Gear Soild and hope to make one when I get the 3D printer working fully.

OMEGA WORKSHOP Website
Hello Tumblr, not been back here for a while. I have been preoccupied with the new website. I will try to update here more regularly, but check out the site. It will probably be the first place to get updated. Check it out and like us on Facebook for all our new props and cosplay making activities. Remember I take commissions and you can find out more about that on the site. http://omegaworkshop.weebly.com/blog.html
A Big Thank You to Eidos Montreal!
Would like to thank Eidos Montreal for reblogging my Deus Specs. Amazing to see so many rebloggs and likes pop up out of the blue. I honestly never thought they'd get so much attention. Really gives me the encouragement that I'm not wasting my time on this. I'd like to point out that I personally really want to re-develop the design I used. It's not really screen accurate, they're a tad chunky and a more simplified shape. Having done those as a kind of prototype I'd like to do a pair that are the actual 100% perfect shape. Hopefully 3D printed!
I never asked for this...

N7 Handgun - Mass Effect Nerf Gun Mod
I decided to do a quick mod of an old nerf gun to convert it to a Mass Effect N7 handgun. This is not screen accurate. I had a very short deadline so carving up the body of the nerf gun was not possible. It's in the spirit of the N7. Mods were made from foam and plasticard sheets.
