hello tumblr nation, thought I’d show off the Overwatch weapons I’ve made so far!

I’d never made any sort of cosplay prop before, but I have always been a crafty person, so when I bought a D.Va cosplay I very impulsively decided to try making her gun out of stuff I had laying around (cardboard, that cheap kid’s craft foam, hot glue). Turns out making this kinda stuff is fun as hell, so last Halloween I put together a Juno fit and made her gun to go along with it :3

I learned a lot from D.Va’s, so I think Juno’s turned out quite a bit better, but there’s still things I now know how to improve for next time.

I’m currently making Junker Queen’s mythic skin knife for my friends birthday, so I’ll show off more of the (really cheap and janky) process with that one! Afterwards I def wanna make some stuff from Marvel Rivals hehehe

Maybe I’ll post more cosplay stuff here, tho I’ve found I enjoy making accessory stuff far more than any of the other aspects of it… I need a cute friend to dress up who can do their own makeup LMAO

Unfortunately, yes. No foam swords, larp weaponry, prop weapons, wooden weapons, nothing. If you bring it, they will stop you at the gates and ask you to put it back in your car. If you have nowhere to stash your weapon, they might be willing to let you keep it at the main entrance and return for it later, but I wouldn't count on it.

The only weapons allowed inside the Maryland Renaissance Festival are wooden weapons bought from the shops inside of the faire. Their worry is even with prop weapons that people may modify them. This exception is also fairly new, so I wouldn't be surprised if they turned you away regardless of the weapon.
