Dave brought the duo towards the medical wing. There, he got them through the visiting papers and all of that, then helped them find Benâs room.
After that, he really just took a backseat.
With a flare of his magic, he opened the door and allowed the other two to go inside and see Ben for themselves. He smiled at Tenebre especially, but encouraged before she went through; âBe gentle. Heâs still a bit weak, but heâs recovering.â Before pushing her gently to the door.
Really, it was the best he could do.
This was their show now, and they needed to talk, to see him, and to be a bit in peace.
Ben turned to look at the door, expecting the nurse or Dave. He clearly wasnât expecting who stood there, tears still brimming in her eyes.Â
Tenebre hesitated one moment longer before bolting in, nearly jumping ontop of Ben in the process. Thankfully to his relief she stopped just short of bowling through the bed he rested on. Instead, she laid her head atop the mattress and resumed weeping.
Where tears of sadness and worry had filled their trip, Tenebre finally wept tears of relief and joy.
Shinzora placed a paw on Daveâs shoulder, giving him a smile, before entering the room.
The pair spoke for nearly an hour, despite the time of day. The conversation revealed many things, including the fact that Benâs evoker had been broken in the initial attack and would need replacement; a fact Shinzora was not looking forward to fixing. Evokers were expensive to create, so they only ever had a few. They were sealed in a box that was destroyed when the store blew up, so all the ones that they had spare were nothing but powder now.
Maybe Dave could help with getting the materials she needed.Â
Alas, the call came that visiting hours were concluded, and the pair had to retreat.Â
