it’s ok if you’re scent changes, when I first embraced being misceanimalis my scent was completely different. I believe my scent is supposed to represent me. it used to be prairie wind and lilac and comforting spices. I think I thought about it too hard, it was something I wasn’t able to actually achieve (prairie wind isn’t a scent that is easy to replicate). looking back when I decided that this was my scent it felt more like a performance.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time away from the community, during that time I’ve experienced so many new things. I’ve definitely changed, my life has definitely changed, I fell naturally into a scent. my scent is now coconut and whatever makes me feel good.

I haven’t been spending that much time hanging around the miscecanis community as I once did, I’ve had so many things going on in my life and focusing on so many other things that it just kind of got forgotten. to be honest i’m not entirely sure if being misceanimalis is really for me, I’m still drawn to it like I once was but not as much.

HONESTLY this deserves its own post too because to this day I've never seen anyone in the miscecanis/misceanimalis community addressing this:

DO NOT overuse scented products and fragrances. You are blind to your own scent and have no clue just how strong your scent is. Your scent has the potential to give people migraines and asthma attacks among other things if it's even slightly too strong, and if you keep applying a scent every time you THINK there is none left, you WILL have the same energy as a sweaty teen boy who just used a whole can of axe spray deodorant to replace a shower.

One more time: YOU ARE BLIND TO YOUR OWN SCENT. You stop smelling it some time after applying it, but I promise you it's absolutely there and EVERYONE ELSE can smell it.

This has been a psa from a very migraine-prone omega, who hopes all of you realize that one or two applications per day are enough! Your scent should be noticeable when people are next to you, but it shouldn't feel like someone punching daggers into your eye sockets to others- which it absolutely will if it's too strong.

So I may or may not have spent a lot of time making this flag (No I could not figure out how to not make it blurry on tumblr, thanks tumblr). It's a pride flag for all those of us who identify with the omegaverse lifestyle, or in a deeper more intimate level. Ever since I came up with the term in 2020 I kind of wanted to make a flag for it, and now we finally have one! I'm so excited!!!

The freedom many of us feel when we identify as Miscecanis. Freedom that may relief grief, feelings of inadequacy and dysphoria. Freedom to be who we truly are and how we truly feel. ✦ Yellow: Symbolizes Pride and Self-Love. In identifying as a miscecanis we love ourselves more than we hate those who hate and ridicule us every day. In identifying as Miscecanis we love ourselves for who we are inspite of negative perceptions. ✦ Gold: Symbolizes Community. The community we built for ourselves, of mutual support, love and acceptance. ✦ Purple: Symbolizes Unity. Unity of all the aspects above as well as unity of spirit with our fellow Miscecanis people. ✦ The Moon: Neither Waxing nor Waning, the Crescent moon faced down is both. Symbolizing Rebirth and Introspection of the Self at the same time. ✦ The Four Pointed Star: The Star represents the three classic dynamics (Alpha, Beta and Omega) + Tertiary Dynamics. The smaller spikes in between each arm of the star represent the in-betweens of the dynamics that also exist in our community. Yes you can use this flag for yourself!
