I am so happy sasunaru is becoming popular again on Twitter, I was so fucking sick of all this narusasus terrorizing and harrasing sasunaru shippers.

Narusasu fandom is so immature and annoying, they even keep harassing and quoting SN artists like chugege and jenmushroom, tagging their fanarts with NS tag and stuff, it is disrespectful af. They basically took over tumblr too, like no sasuke isn't a bottom just cuz you think he is feminine or whatever, let people ship the dynamic they want and learn some fandom etiquette ffs.

Narusasus will call Sasuke a twink but turn around and make Naruto, legitimately the same build as him, an excessively muscled jock with linebacker shoulders that towers over Sasuke. They will exaggerate Sasuke’s waist and features to death in order to warp him into some botched feminine twink. It’s actually insane how feminized his fanart has become to the point where most of his design is unrecognizable in the fandom. It's most noticeable in narusasu western artists, the majority of whose art has contributed to the mass psychosis of botched twink Sasuke.

If you showed them an actual panel of Shippuden Sasuke or Adult Sasuke drawn by Kishimoto they'd keel over and die.

Most often the few unrefined sketches Kishimoto has done for The Last gets brought up, but when you put the drawings side by side on the same plane they're like the same size.

Only difference is Kishimoto giving Naruto a crazy huge dumptruck/thicker ass I guess lmao.

Also Kishimoto draws a diagram of Sasuke's well built bicep from his lost arm. Not the arm of a twink despite half of it being missing.

And now being a one-armed swordsman, there shouldn't be speculation on his arm being bulky. Lifting a heavy sword and being an adept sword user is not something meant for twink noodle arms.

Closeup panel we have of their arms at the end of Shippuden. Same size, Sasuke’s even a smidge bulkier.

There's also inconsistent anime stills or studio art that they love using as proof of Sasuke being smaller, daintier, feminine, twinkier, etc etc yet I can also gather "twink" Naruto images of the same calibre.

Rant about Narusasus and their weird eugenics with chins and eyes

"Sasuke's chin is pointier, Naruto's less pointer, Sasuke's eyes are more elongated to make him more feminine, his eyebrows are so feminine and delicate, Naruto is more rugged and manlier and therefore the top", etc etc.

This sounds like an exaggeration but:

Also comparing Sasuke to some random woman from a previous manga when they look nothing alike to also prove how much Kishimoto wanted Sasuke to look feminine is so skdfnskdf.

I've never seen people so obsessed with chins and eye shapes to prove a character is more feminine and a bottom. All from a few scrap sketches. And I don't know why Naruto's chin having more squareness to it in some doodles means he's a top lol. Kishimoto is inconsistent as hell when it comes to their chins and face shapes anyway, what does it matter.

But that's falling into the trap of how everyone superficially perceives Sasuke too. Cold is someone like p1 Neji, who just does the strictly professional thing and fuck everyone else. Sasuke cares for people in his own way, even if it's not a big number of people - he's def not outgoing. I don't see him as a uwu softboy but also not as this fuckboy cliché. I guess what that misguided "softboy Sasuke" trope tries to shatter is this image of cocky alpha asshole with no feelings and 2 expressions.

He definitely fits the stereotype more than Sasuke, but at the end of the day in trying to break the Hulky Alpha Jock Naruto stuff this depiction also takes too far some parts of his characterization and entirely obliterates others. He’s sweet but selectively compassionate, can be really brash and aggressive and even callous and condescending, and that doesn’t mean he’s any less genuinely loving or kind

Neji tells the sound people that “no one hurts their teammate and gets away with it”, and also fondly calls lee hot blooded. He’s also shown training with tenten, which sasuke would never do with sakura, and in addition he actually gets extremely emotional during his fight with hinata and naruto. I wouldn’t say neji is strictly professional and fuck everyone else at any point. But he can be cold, distant, rude, and so can sasuke.

Maybe i just have ptsd from naruto twt making sasuke a blushing sub with cat ears while naruto is a hulking alpha dom, but i genuinely do not see sasuke being depicted as a ‘cocky alpha asshole with 2 expressions’ at all in this fandom, idt anyone besides me and the prostate gang and a few others even questioned the fragile, hysterical depiction until we kept posting about it

I agree naruto isn’t a softboy, he can be rowdy and aggressive, but i dont feel the need to point out these aspects of him as much because theyre already heavily played up in fandom. Conversely i think sasuke’s vulnerability is greatly exaggerated, i dont think he’s emotionless or evil but even at his nicest he’s never exactly vying for approval from everyone or crying openly or blushing shyly (all things naruto does which the fandom ignores, which is weird because theyre as much a part of him as his leadership ability, tenacity, and assertiveness)
