Take me back to Germany!
Hey Matroshkas!!!! This week I bring you āA day in a life of this Russian nut headā I mean I shouldnāt be so mean to my mom. LOL, Jk! I figure this is as good as any time to let you all know where I am from, and how I came to choosing such crappy men to date. Taking you all back to when it started, yes IT ALL.
First I want to thank you all, who read this on a daily basis. I realize I have lots of viewers who donāt have a Tumblr account but share my wonderful blog on their own social media. Insta/FB Etc. So I want to personally thank you for reading every week.
And secondly, for all you new comers; welcome to a Day in a Life of a Canadian/Russian/ dating life thing!
In many ways, my parents were very protective. And I say that very generously. I grew up in a multi-cultural household. My mother and I were born in Russia. My step dad was born in Iraq; my first sister was born in Israel/Palestine. And my second/ youngest was born in Canada. Having to be home schooled in Russian, and go to an Israeli school did help me sponge all those wonderful languages at a young age. My Mom married my step dad and we took a 2 year honeymoon, āYes, we all went. I mean I am glad they included me. Probably would call her more of a nut case if she didnātā to many countries across Europe. Including; France, Sweden, and Germany. We stayed in Germany for a year, in which I had to learn the language. Was it easy growing up with a Middle Eastern step farther? LOL, I will let you figure that out.
I was not allowed to hug any boys, touch any boys, and look at any boys. Was there commercials about boys, yes! Was I allowed to look at them? No! Oh Mama, how am I supposed to give you grandchildren at this age?
Not all was dreadful, in a sense I am happy that I got to visit multiple countries and 3 different continents before I was 11 years old. It brought a true testament to my development characteristics as a child. But damn mom! I donāt think I went on a date until I was at least 17 LOL. Maybe that was a good thing, although, it did leave me wanting a fairy-tale Disney Princess story, or at least one, where I was the protagonist.
Thank you for taking a trip back to memory lane with me this week. I guess this was a mild buffer to the ultimate Dating Blog I share with you every week. Alas, more to come next week. #Staytuned #Matryoshkas Stay tuned.
