you dug up old content that she has apologized for, held herself responsible for, taken accountability for, and has taken down. she has grown as a person over the last 8 or so years, and we all know how much everyone LOVES to bring up her fish tank apology as a way to showcase a GOOD apology.
she made feel good and silly content with her boyfriend and their pets. she painted jean jackets and hydro-dipped sneakers. she made beds and hands out of soap. she turned herself into a fucking disco ball and tried to camouflage herself into a fucking dinning room chair.
she admitted she wasn’t without fault, that her past was indeed filled with problematic content, and she owned up to it. and she bettered herself. isn’t that what you wanted? you want to cancel people so bad, but you don’t want to give them the space, time, and encouragement to grow from their mistakes. and if they do try to do better, well, to you, that’s not good enough. they didn’t try hard enough. to that, i say fuck you.
she had a great community of fans that loved her. fuck, people just gravitated towards her. she’s been a great friend to so many, and she even went to safiya nygaard’s wedding last year. people love her, people care for her, and people have watched her grow into such a sweet and respectful individual.
and cancel culture had to go and ruin it. fuck cancel culture. if it was really about holding people accountable, you would call it ‘accountability culture’. but you don’t want to hold them accountable to the point where they become better people. you want to see them crash and burn, and never recover.
