Another reason whiners about subnautica's lack of combat are stupid: you can literally parry creatures with your multitool. I haven't gotten it to work on everything, but nibblers and marrowbreach can be smacked on the nose when they try to bite you. You have to smack marrow twice (it will try to bite you twice no matter what). If you time it right you take no damage. Also you have SO MANY flares and they're easy to make and they can completely distract entire crowds of enemies for over a minute. I was literally swimming right next to a group of four nibblers and they were absolutely entranced by the flare I'd thrown. Also the way practicing deterring the nibblers gets you ready for the marrowbreach and the other mangos is really good game design. Personally I think that's BETTER than the first 2 games cause I like being able to defend myself without actually hurting the critter. And y'know. The entire story seems to be shaping up towards preventing or delaying an ecological collapse. Of fucking course you're not allowed to kill things wastefully.
Also, killing in the first game was the single most annoying, boring fucking shit in the world to do. Youve ever wondered why there werent as many “fighting leviathans” things in BZ? Because theres no stasis rifle. Mfs literally just wanted to press a button at a still mob for minutes on end

Not to be annoying on a positive post but listen to me.
If a person “accepts” your weirdness but will not stop pointing it out, joking about it, not actually meeting you were you and are just finding your thoughts amusing. Ironically, dosent actually treat you like a normal person, possibly seriously acting like you participating in normal adult or even teen behaviour is some kind of glitch in the matrix. This is not that person. This is someone who will get you hurt eventually, from making you feel left out, to possibly actually abusing you.
If they EVER headpat you without you having previously asked to be. Run. Immediatly. This is not a game. It is not funny. It is not cute. They are treating you like a child at best and an animal at worst, take that at face value.

Its shutting down all empathy and rightful fury for “This is obvious and inevitable and you should accept it.” And how it so clearly treats it like a PR crisis, beacuse what the fuck does it matter what the internet expected? ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??

this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy

Man I miss the days when I was a normal person for whomst cardboard was not a horrible drain on my finances and the solution for “big piece of cardboard” was “have a box at home” and not trying to seduce factory employees via email into telling you who their provider is.
You can buy big pieces of cardboard, like at school supply stores. Im sure that defeats the point for many of you and I envy you greatly. Please never spend a cent in cardboard if you can
Concept: An intimate character study in the form of an incredibly long and in depth video essay about a fictional piece of media. And then they release the actual thing the video was talking about and you realize its a complete genuenly innofensive nothing burger and the video you watched was basically the creator accidentally disecting themselves like a frog in a compleatly unglamorous and somehow both deeply intimate and utterly detached way, where you realize this person might internally be just a walking late 90s forum if you could use that instead of DNA to make a human being, but its still very much a human being even if they themselves dont seem to always be able to tell.
I mean you can just go watched “The Asterisk war sucks” by Digibro archived on youtube and then watch the Asterisk war. But that would be a fire fiction format.
