I like to think that most of the Awakened (as well as Important People like Iberu and Utumishi) are either terrified of Israa or otherwise think she’s a little hellion but put up with her for Joko’s sake. And then Wurmmarshal Ekolo’s just like “wdym, she’s an absolute sweetheart” and is basically the cool aunt.

And really, what’s worse– being tortured by Joko, or being tortured by Joko while a little asura progeny sits on his shoulder cheering for more blood?

Tyria Pride 2022! I had a blast this year, and I got to chat with friends the whole way! :D Big thanks to everyone!

Including myself, there were 8 Trahearnes this year! We also got visited by a Canach, Mordremoth, Faolain, @beanswithbones’s Pale Tree, and @brax-was-here’s Scarlet! Quite the family reunion!

On June 18th and June 19th of 2022, a spectacular community in Guild Wars 2 got together for an annual event known as Tyria Pride! I was on the NA side, and these are some of the screenshots I took on Day 1. If you see your toon in these shots, feel free to tag yourselves!

I want to thank everyone who not only organized this incredible event but brought a great community together to celebrate our LGBT+ and queer players!

I remember when Tyria Pride was first announced many years ago, but I couldn’t join those events due to life issues. But this year, I finally got to join in for the first time, and I will admit, I was overwhelmed! I was awed! I had a wonderful time! And once again, thank you all for such an incredible experience!

I do want to apologize to those who tried to start up a convo with me during the march. I did get overloaded by the chat and my peabrain couldn’t quite handle so much going on all at once lol

And finally, a shoutout to @random-sylvari-main @midnightmako @notenoughplants @legendary-alliance-stance @legendary-assassin-stance @kamiporterbridges @vampiricsheep and @heart-of-tyria! It was great hanging out with you all!

May I also add? I realize this falls under the last category but I wanted to just specifically say:

It's okay to use builds/gear you think are fun but aren't considered "meta".

Some of the best fun I've had has been playing a medkit/elixir engineer on PvE meta maps. I rarely do damage, let alone kill things. I put all my stats into Concentration and Healing Power and thus my damage output is like a hug from a sleepy Quaggan.

But when I was farming Drizzlewood to get the Otter Spirit, I'd run around spraying allies with Heal Juice, passing out medkits, tossing elixirs, and resurrecting allies in record time. I still got participation, tons of loot, my Otter Spirit, and, on top of all of that...

SO many thank-yous!

Not just the usual "ty" in chat from getting someone back up on their feet, but stuff like getting a mass 5+ person resurrect during a fight and folks being like "holy shit the comeback". Rushing into the dangerous ice to give heals and swiftness to those trying to run back to the fight but struggling to keep their health up. Converting the oodles of Chilled that the enemies dish out, and turning it into Alacrity for all of my allies. I literally got whispers and mail messages from people thanking me for the assistance.

I think one of the best things about GW2 is you can always find your own way to be a hero! ❤️
