I did these slight redesigns of my human Kitt from a couple years ago and I really like how he turned out! I didn’t want him to look too high tech since I feel like Knight Industries would want him to blend in more, like how Kitt looks like a regular (but fancy) car. In my headcanon Kitt is still in the car, but can kind of swap between them. So he can walk and talk as a human/android but can also drive the car remotely if that makes sense. Like Kitt got tired of not being able to follow Michael into buildings or investigate things himself, so they made him a human body so he could :)

Poirot’s Chocolat Chaud

“Hercule Poirot sat at breakfast in his small but agreeably cosy flat in Whitehall Mansions. He had enjoyed his brioche and his cup of hot chocolate. Unusually, for he was a creature of habit and rarely varied his breakfast routine, he asked his valet, George, to make him a second cup of chocolate.”

Although Hastings often seems to find Poirot’s habit of drinking hot chocolate offensive, incidentally here on the first page of Black Coffee, I am under the impression Agatha Christie liked the beverage. It already played a crucial part in Mrs. Inglethorp’s death in The Mysterious Affair at Styles. Unlike the lady’s favorite bedtime drink, Poirot’s Chocolat Chaud is a bit thicker, creamier and overall more decadent, and you wouldn’t expect less from a Belgian: they know their chocolate. This, with a slice of freshly baked Brioche is simply divine; so maybe we ought not imitate the detective, and save it for Sundays.

Ingredients (serves 1, including second cup):

1 cup milk

¼ cup double cream

2 teaspoons Homemade (Bourbon) Vanilla Extract

60 grams/2 ounces dark chocolate, coarsely chopped

2 teaspoons caster sugar

In a small saucepan, combine milk and cream, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. When simmering, stir in Homemade Vanilla Extract, and pour hot mixture over chopped chocolate. let sit a minute, before whisking until well-blended and chocolate is completely melted. Pour back in the saucepan and return to medium heat. Add sugar and stir constantly with a wooden spoon for about 1-2 minutes.

Pour Poirot’s Chocolat Chaud in a cup and drink immediately, preferably with a slice or two of homemade Brioche.
