Honestly, it makes me feel like I’m in high school all over again. I’m not good enough to be liked by the popular kids. Their group is so exclusive. You have to look a certain type of way, act a certain type of way, etc.

It breaks my heart because Taylor is my escape, my happy place, my safe space and at the same time there is such an unhealthy hierarchy in this fandom it literally messes with people’s mental health. We’ve gotten to a point where you can’t even deny it or ignore it. And there’s no changing it or fixing it because everyone is so set in their ways. There’s group blogs, TN shortlists, rich fans, people Taylor knows on a first name basis, mutuals only blogs, fans that get a like every single time Taylor comes online, etc. and then there’s the rest of us.

so by now we’ve all come to realize that “step into the daylight and let it go” is The Quote of this era so far, but could it be related to the album name?

in this scene we see a cloud that resembles a snake starting to chase taylor, and i think this resembles the BEFORE of reputation, where all the negativity started from, when she started to get bombarded with snake emojis, etc. we also see the staircase from the LWYMMD video that kickstarted the reputation era

then, we see the snake cloud engulf taylor before she comes out unscathed. this is i think symbolizes the DURING of reputation and how she had to become what she was called in order to come out on top. this is also an important transition to right AFTER reputation

now this is THE scene that drives this theory. here is AFTER reputation, where she is shaking it all off (sorry i couldnt resist) and stepping into the daylight and let it go. The old taylors are fighting, but she isnt bothered. she has let it go.
