I made this after I made a community post about how much I adore John Watson as a character.

Oh man, I've been Mike Wheelered, I'm just now realizing it. I am realizing that how I felt about a close friend in high school may not have been entirely platonic, but I wasn't conscious of it at the time because I was too busy with self-hatred or something. Now they're off at the big city living their beautiful life, and I'm still here in my little hometown writing my little poems and short stories while wondering about what could have been. It's been a little over year since we've had a proper conversation and everything. :( shoot.

Knights of Guinevere got greenlit, Good Omens 3 got a confirmed date, and my first illustrated piece got published at my college newspaper today. Today is awesome.

I played BATIM for the first time recently, and I also started BATDR. I was obsessed with watching play throughs of BATIM on YouTube when it first came out, so being able to play it on my own was super fulfilling. So now I can't stop drawing all these guys.

Rewatching Merlin is so painful because everybody was so innocent then. Arthur had yet to have the pressure of being King—of being the protector of Camelot and all its people—on his shoulders. Morgana had yet to start her path to darkness. Gwen was just the servant girl who was best friends with the King's beloved ward, her father and her brother alive. And then you have Merlin. A sweet, naive boy went to Camelot—and then he learned about a destiny he never knew was his, and every time he tried to do good, it was repaid with mistreatment, suffering, grief, pain, loss, and tragedy over and over and over again, leaving scars that he would carry forever in immortality and turn that innocent boy cold and hardened.

I remember watching Merlin for the first time in middle school and being so ready to ship Gwen and Merlin at the beginning (I didn't even know about shipping quite yet). I was so confused about how their kiss in the Poisoned Chalice just never came back up......but anyway I started picking up Merthur vibes afterwards and that's where some of my awakenings began.

But like still.....I was so ready for their relationship to develop. I love them as besties but I wouldn't have minded them being a thing. They were cute. Overall I just think it's odd. It seems like the writers were kind of?? hinting at Gwen/Merlin and.....Arthur/Morgana.... before deciding that they should go with what the legends had. Now every time I rewatch the show I cringe at the Morgana and Arthur stuff because now we know they were siblings the whole time. Anyway, I love this show. Flaws and all.
